What a wonderful life!

Its been a while since i last wrote, we have been having so much fun and so little time to write. Bentley has turned out to be a great brother and we wuv to play and snuggle together. Mom and dad say i have really learned to play and am more active now that Bentley is in the house. I love to surprise attack him when he doesn't seem me coming! and i have gained a couple of pounds so i can keep up with him. We are only one pounds different. (Bentley has one pound on me but i can still jump him and hold him down he he he) When mom and dad are at work we spend time in our warm bed and snuggle up until they get home, oh yes this is the life!!!!!!!! I wuv my family

New baby brother!

Mom and Dad thought i needed a playmate cause i was too content to do nothing all day and i am only 18 months, so they took me to this place where they had lots of dogs. I played wif them all but really liked the Dad best. Mom said i couldn't have him but i could pick one of the puppies so we got the solid black, he looks just like Chocolate Chip(check him out on Dogster, soo cute)!!!
The first couple of days i didn't know what to make of him, he wanted all my toys and food. Then he started playing with me but i never play with a puppy before and didn't know if i like it.
On the third day we started playing much better and now we are good friends, he is sooo funny, he can play all day!
Mom still takes me for a walk every day when Bentley takes a nap and she holds my very special toy bunny up away from him so it can be just mine. I wuv my Mommy. Bentley sleeps in soft crate near the bed side while i sleep wif mom and dad, I like that alot tooo..

Miss September 2008

Hey everyone we just found out that I made Miss September 2008 in the Humane Society Calendar!!! We are soo pleasantly surprised and honored. There are alot of really nice pictures of other dogs as well and the money goes to the organization so everyone wins.

Baby Brendan's arrival

Mom and me were in NC for a week with our new baby Brendan. Mom is now a Grandmother but prefers to be called Nana. I help out by watching over the new little guy while Nana took care of the house and everyone else. The new mom and dad are doing fine and the baby is great! Although i didn't like it when he cried. Luckly he doesn't cry very often. He likes to sleep alot. I wish he would play with me more but mom (Nana) says i will have to wait awhile for him to play with me so i guess i will just have to watch over him until then. He was born October 19th at 10:30pm and weighed in at 6 pounds. We will be spending time with them again in November and December and hope to have more pictures on the site then. I like watching over Brendan, he makes funny faces....

Iam a working girl!

Mom and I have joined a group called the Pets On Wheel volunteer group. We visit nursing home in the area and other places like that. The people we meet are great and they really seem to enjoy our visits. I have fun cause i get to go in the car and meet other people and there are other dogs that come along so i get to make new dog friends as well. Now when mom says we are going to work today she means me too! (work is alot of fun)

My birthday is coming this Tuesday and mom is running around getting stuff. After all you only have one first Birthday! She wont show me everything but i know i got a new dress cause she made me try it on and then Dad said i looked very pretty in it. We went to invite Nellie to my birthday party and show her the new dress. Nellie lives down the street from us and she is a very nice 5 year old cock-a-poo. Hopefully mom will take some good pictures of my small little party and we can share them on the web site. Let you know how my birthday goes......

A trip to the emergency hospital

Ok so it wasn't the smartest thing I every did but the good news is I am doing fine and Mom and Dad can relax, for now. It all started last Friday evening, mom was busy checking her email and then went to check on me, she found me eating some hard plastic pieces i broke off the plastic plant dish. She got all excited and was checking my mouth. She couldn't tell how much or if any i actually ate so she decided to scold me and keep a close eye on me for awhile. The next day I got sick in the morning and then after dinner i through up so off we went to the emergency hospital to see if i had a blockage of some kind. The people at BELTWAY EMERGENCY ANIMAL HOSPITAL were really nice to me, they checked my temperature, and took some pictures of me they call x-rays. The only thing i DIDN'T appreciate was the shot they gave me so i wouldn't get dehidrated (that i could do without, thank you very much). Anyway the x-ray didn't show any blockage but they said the plastic wouldn't show up and that there could still be some internal. Because i was feeling ok and all other signs looked good (Mary said she could tell i was a Diva!) i got to go home with mom and dad and had some special sandwiches that were suppose to make me go and hopefully pass anything that was inside me. It seemed to work cause now i am no longer getting sick and i am eating and doing all the other stuff ok. Mom and Dad said this was not what they had in mind for a Saturday night but they were happy that I did not have to spend the night at the hospital..... Another day in the life of Miss Ashley June.

My first Halloween!

Wow, that was so much fun. Mom got me a ballerina outfit with slippers (they were to big for my little feet so i just chewed on them... yummy) Then I sat at the door waiting for all the kids to come. When they finnally got here i was able to help mommy give out the candy. After awhile i wanted some treats of my own so mommy gave me doggie treats for helping out. Everyone was so cute in their costumes and several people gave me a pat on the head and told me i was real cute. I will always remember my first halloween.

Life after surgery!

Well thursday's surgery came and went and i survived! Mommy took real good care of me when i got home cause i didn't feel good for awhile. The next day i woke up with a sore throat and i got to eat a popsicle for breakfast :) By the end of the second day I felt like myself again and mom and dad had to keep me from running and jumping around so much. The doctors office even called to see how i was doing, they are so nice. I am glad its over, so let the playing begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!
