poor Stu has what we call down ear syndrome. He constantly has tape on his big floppy ears just to keep them up. It turned out that he really just had lazy ear because after his 5th birthday it now both ears UP!! woo-hoo

I hurt my foot about 3 weeks ago after we got out of the kennel. I told my people not to worry it only hurts a little I'll be fine in the morning. They gave me some medicine that made me sleepy so I didn't fell it too much. In the moring I was ready to go for our walk but my foot still hurt. I had to stay home. The daddy said maybe tomorrow. I still snuck out and chased the horse a little since he was slow to get breakfast. I got in trouble and had to go back in. It made me limp some more. My people said that I wasn't getting better so I have to go to the Vets office. Their nice people and they have snacks but sometimes I have to stay so it's not all fun. Dr. Jackson started to check my sore foot and noticed the sorest place was my baby toe. I had to stay then he said. I got an x-ray and it said I had a broken toe. It was cracked in 3 places Dr. Jackson told my people. He told me I was goning to sleep for awhile so he could fix it. I had to stay the whole night. They but a splint on and a lot off tape. It was hard to walk but I figured out how to run. My foot didn't hurt much anymore. So I was ready to run and play. Nope I still had to stay in the house and no walks. That was no fun. Well yesterday they took off my splint. Mostly because my foot was getting all red and itchy. "It looks hot" they said so make him stay in and no licking it. I was supposed to wear one of those cones but I promised no licking and so far I don't wear it. I get to go for a slow walk now. It's just a short walk but at least I can go sniff. I hope it gets better soon. It's summer and time for swimming!!!
