She was purchased to replace another Shi-tzu who was 12 and seemed by all indications to be dying, and then lived another 2 years....

Bio:
Nikita has a close friend Toby who is her brother but is from another litter and we see him as much as we can as he lives at a fair distance. We al met on the internet and it was Toby's dad who pointed us to Nikita's breeder after the loss of another Shi-tzu. Nikita passed on in July 2009 of all kinds of auto immune disease and frankly had a miserable life filled with allergy issues and overall defects due to poor breeding most likely as her brother Toby passed on 2 years ago from much the same issues. Yet she was the sweetest most lovable animal to the very end and we will miss her so much.
