We were visiting my parents in my hometown for my birthday. We were just getting ready to head home, and had stopped to fill up the car with gas. I was outside and Todd inside. Next thing I knew he was getting out to greet a tiny little red dog who immediately rolled over so he could pet her belly. She was small, filthy, covered with fleas and had a belly swollen with worms and lack of food. We took her back to my folk's house, gave her a flea bath, and she's been ours ever since.
