Precious was my best friend for 13 years. She died in my arms 1 month before she was to be 14. I miss her every day.

My beautiful Precious Peanut came into my life when I got back from a high school trip. She was my graduation present from my mom and dad. I had wanted a dog for such a long time. My dad drove from Lafayette to St. Louis to get her. She is the half sister of my sister's dog, Mickey Rooney. She was a bit of a chewer, but I didn't care. When I rode in a car she would climb up and sit behind my neck when she was little. When she got bigger she totally loved the frisbee:) She jumped so high and would catch it every time. Sometimes she would flip around a bit to catch it. She hated thunder storms and going to the vet. She enjoyed playing in the snow when she was younger. She also loved going for walks. She loved to bark at things. Precious also met Kodi and Remington. She enjoyed trying to eat Remington's cat food. One day my beautiful dog was standing in our bedroom and all of a sudden she fell down. It freaked me out. I called the emergency clinic and the Purdue small animal hospital and my mom and dad rushed to our house to see her. We thought it was the end. Then all of a sudden she seemed fine again. I took her to the vet and they didn't know why she did that. Than it happened again. This began on a Thursday and I documented every time this happened and kept taking her back to the vet. Within the week she had at least a seizure a day. The vet said that nothing could be done and that it was most likely an aggressive brain tumor. I could not believe this. I felt so sad:( My beautiful Precious Peanut died in my arms one week after this began. My kids were so sad. Kodi dog wondered where his friend had gone. It has been a year and a half now and I still miss and think about her every day. I loved her so much. She truely was my best friend.
