 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: January 1st 2000
Likes: Peyton loves to play and then settle down for a nice snuggle. :)

Pet-Peeves: He hates thunderstorms. He will hide in the closet with our other dogs who are afraid also. They all huddle up together. :(

Favorite Toy: The favorite toy for Peyton would be the rope that him and his sister, Heidi play tug of war with.

Favorite Food: Rawhides are the best!

Favorite Walk: Out in the woods.

Best Tricks: He gives a high 5, sits, and lays down.

Arrival Story: We found Peyton on the internet and fell in love with his picture. We thought he was a Border Collie, learning later of the Karelian Bear Dog breed. Poor guy had been thru alot, with very damaged teeth, and no teeth up front, on top. :(

Bio: Peyton was picked up as a stray, and put in the pound. Battle Creek Animal Shelter in Michigan, a no kill shelter, rescued him, and kept him safe until we found him and gave him his forever home. :)

1% Poodle?: Peyton's arrival was a complete surprise to me. After the adoption of dog after dog, my husband was getting pretty frazzled. We took in a family member's poodle to babysit, and our Border Collie Heidi fell in love with him. After he went home, Heidi was heartsick. My husband finally commented that we rescue a poodle. Well, I found Peyton, and I have sworn to this day that he is 1% Poodle. Thank you Dougy! :)

Our Peyton came into our lives when our Border Collie Heidi needed a friend with similar energy, and playfulness levels. We searched on the internet and fell in love with Peyton's (Quincy's) picture. Thinking he was a Border Collie also, we decided he would be a great match. Off to Battle Creek, Michigan. We fell in love instantly! Poor Peyton obviously has been through a lot. He was missing his upper front teeth between his k-nines. The k-nines were damaged, but he was able to keep them. I wish he could tell us his story. My personal beleif is he was desparately trying to escape a kennel of some sort. After his vet check up, we headed home to introduce him to his new family. One by one Peyton met our existing 6 dogs, and 5 kittys. Four kittys actually, Jessie kitty is a trucking kitty that was on the road at that time. :) It could not have gone better. This was July 17, 2006. It has been 2 months now, and Heidi and Peyton are the best of friends. We did find out after confiring with a local Sanctuary that he was not a Border Collie, but a Karelian Bear Dog mix. How cool! He is, "The Bear Hunter!". :) Our Peyton has found his forever home. Thank you Dougy. :) This is a special Tail of Devotion
