After spending his first year of life as a kennel dog, 12 month old, 18 pound Dodger is learning how to be part of a family and enjoy the comforts in life, like a warm lap and a soft bed! Because Dodger wasn’t socialized with humans much before he came into foster care, he will need a home that will care for him with love and patience -- it takes a bit of time for him to realize that people are okay and will be kind to him. Happy, playful Dodger gets along well with other dogs. He loves to wrestle and play tug of war with toys. Although not 100% housetrained, he’s catching on quickly. He walks nicely on a leash and stays quietly in his crate when necessary. Dodger’s ideal home would have a fenced yard with plenty of room for him to run, and possibly another dog to be his friend. Dodger would probably get along with older children, but younger children might startle him. Dodger is looking for his very own forever home where he will be treasured and cared for. He will give you back so much love and affection if you just give him the chance!
