A woman found her and took her to a nearby no-kill shelter, but the shelter had no room in the dog kennel so they put the pup in the "Cattery." We met her at the Cattery and fell in love. She went home with my family and she became an important part of our lives for nearly 16 years. Bio: Penny developed vestibular syndrome when she was 14 that was so severe it took her a month or more to recover. She never gave up and always remained determined to overcome vestibular. (The photo of her walking down the hallway shows the permanent head-tilt she had after vestibular.) I was so inspired by her recovery that I wrote an article about her for PetLife Magazine in 2000. She lived another year after recovering from vestibular and nearly made it to her 16th birthday. We love and miss you, Penny. I've Been On Dogster Since:
