New brother

Well my new human brother finaly made it home today. It is wonderful. He smells just as good as the blankets daddy would bring for me to sniff (so I could get used to his smell). The dagone cat does not like him. As soon as mommy walked in the door with him the cat hissed at him. I did not like that at all. I puffed my self up really big went hackels up and let out my deepest meanest growl I could. The cat went running. I know I should not have gotten mad but that is my new human brother. I have not left his side since he got home. I have to make sure that cat does not try to come hiss at him again. But if she does then I will not hold back this time. That cat is mean and she still has not learned that her claws do not hurt me. Oh well we will get along fine when she stops being mean and wants to play. Oh yeah and even better news. Daddy might not have to go to Iraq. He was told today that because it took so long for my new human brother to get home he may just be going with another unit later on. So yay to day is a great great day. Now the only thing that could make it better is if daddy would take me go for a run. But he has a pft tommarow so we cant :(

Mommy says that she is going to go. go for a run with me and daddy today. That would be great (if she actualy goes). Mommy has not ran since she got pregnant with my new human brother. This will be so GREAT. I love to run. I love daddy. I love mommy. So all 3 things I really love all at the same time. The only way it could get better is if the boy ran with us too. But he is too small to go, go for a run so daddy will just carry him in that wierd back thing. I bet thats hard the boy is heavy.

Ok I have had eneough

Ok ok I decided that I shouldnt hate the cat. So in my best dog manners I decided insteand of trying to get the cat to play I would just try to be friends. I would slowly aproach the cat make my self look like I am not threatning. and boom she would hit me in the face with thoes sharp paws of hers. Ok ok if she dosnt want to be friends then fine. But she makes this high pitch whine that tells me hey she wants to play so I go to play with her and she Hits me again. Daddy says the sound she makes is a hiss but it sounds like a play whine to me. So I decide to just leave the dang thing alone. Then this morning daddy was feeding me breakfast before he had to go to work. I was sitting there the way I am suposed to waiting on him to tell me to eat and the cat starts eating my food daddy says eat so I go to eat. and everything is fine I dont mind sharing my food Im nice like that. But then BOOM the dang cat hits me again. ENEOUGH IS ENEOUGH. I am nice eneough to let this CAT eat out of MY BOWL and she decided to hit me. Well she is small I am big I took the cat in my mouth and held her to the ground (not hurting her just showing her who is boss) She decided to fight back and lays my nose open with thoes sharp dang claws. Which only make me mad. But I was good I didnt whine or cry and I definitly did not let go of the cat. So there she is in my mouth and I decide to growl at her and she stops everything dosnt move dosnt scratch nothing. Well I let her up and she kind of looks at me like I am the one that is crazy. Then she jumps up on the counter and starts to eat her food. I am so confused. First I try to say hi and she whines and hits me. Then I try to play and she whines and hits me. Then I let her eat my food and she hits me. If your going to whine then whine at the right time. If your mad then growl. I give up I am just going to leave the dang thing alone and if she comes to me and tries to hit me again again I am going to put her down on the ground and give her a reason to whine. I am done being MR nice dog with this dang CAT.

Today was a long long day.

It was great. First Daddy the boy and me went to the mud trails and ran for like 4 hours. Then when we got home Daddy and me went to the neighbors house to help train their unruly lab. Then we went to a place in New Bern NC for a festival. There were dogs and people and fun smells we walked and smelled we even rode on a boat. Everything was great. Untill we got home. After we got home Daddy and Mommy put me outside to go potty. And this CAT was in my yard again. So I yelled at her to leave but she wouldnt leave. So I yelled and yelled and yelled. Then mommy came outside. I thought that she was going to help me run this cat off but she didnt. She picked it up and brought it inside. I couldnt believe it. THIS CAT IS NOW IN OUR HOUSE. It tried to scratch me but I got Her first we had a little tussel I wasnt trying to hurt her. Just showing her that she is below me. I think she learned her place but now she is sitting on MY MOMMYS LAP. This can not be good.

Daddy is wierd

Ok daddy did something really wierd a little while ago. We were playing and he decided to check my teeth to see how I was doing on the teething thing. and he knoticed one of my K9 teeth fell out, and he went nuts looking around on the floor. After a few minutes of looking he found it and seemed really happy (come on dad its just a tooth). But he did say it was special because it is the first tooth he had ever found from any of his dogs. I still dont understand ive been working hard to get rid of that tooth why would he want to keep it. Humans are wierd.

Today is a good day

Daddy and Mommy seemed really happy today when they got home from the hospital. It seems that my new human brother was moved up to transision, so that means he is out of the woods and on the road to getting better. I am glad about that. I have never seen my new human brother. But daddy has brought home used blankets and stuff so I can smell him and I will tell you what he smells wonderfull. Every time daddy brings a new blanket home I just sit there quiet and still and sniff sniff sniff. I think it will be good when he finaly does get to come home. But the bad thing about that is daddy might have to leave for Iraq verry soon now. I am not happy about that. But we will see. If he does go to Iraq soon then Mommy had better get good at go for a run.

Daddy took me to a new place to go, go for a run today. It was pretty nice (not as good as the mud trails). But he let me run off leash and that was great. Daddy couldnt really keep up with me so I would run ahead 30 or 40 feet then run back to him so he didnt have to work to hard and so I could still run my tail off. It was great. Now if I can only get him to let me go, go for a run at the mud trails off leash. Now that would be heaven.

What is this little thing

My day started out great. Daddy got up early and we went go, go for a run at the mud trails ''but there wasnt much mud''. But it was still great. Then we got home and I knew something was different I could smell it from outside. Then I got inside and there it was sitting on mommys lap. This tiny little black thing. Daddy said that it looked like a Lab chow mix. I dont know what it was but it was sitting on MY mommys lap. It looked like a dog but it didnt smell like a dog. It saw me and jumped off mommys lap and came running at me ''It definitly couldnt be a dog because it didnt greet me like normal dogs would ya know slow steady aproach posturing and slow deliberet sniffing''. This thing just ran straight for me toung hanging out ears floping all over the place. I dont know what it was but it was wild, and it wont leave me alone. Daddy says it is a puppy. But they tell me that im a puppy and I dont act like that. I guess its ok. After she calmed down we got to play a little bit but daddy kind of kept an eye on me. I guess he didnt want me getting too rough. And I probaly would have cause this thing kind of reminds me of a chew toy. Oh well Daddy says that she will only be here for today the neighbors went to a concert ''what ever that is'' and they will pick up the puppy tonight after they get back. Well I guess it isnt all bad she is pretty cute and likes to play so yeah ok the puppy is ok I guess

Ok ok I know it I havent been posting as often as I normaly do. But we have just been so bussy. Getting ready for the new baby to come home. Oh yeah I didnt tell you that yet. Mommy had a baby a little over 2 months ago but he was 4 months early so he has had to stay at the people vets for a long time. But daddy and mommy think he might be ready to come home soon so they have been going like crazy to get stuff ready for it.

We did go, go for a run today and it was great. It had been a few days since we went, go for a run. Daddy took me to a new place to go, go for a run. He called it the mud trails. At first I didnt understand what it meant but then I saw why. This place was great there were these huge puddles of mud and water. We got so dirty it was great. We ran and swimed and ran and swimed some more, and daddy brought the boy with us. I love the boy more than I love to run and swim combined. But the boy didnt run he just rode daddy in the wierd back pack thing that daddy carries him in sometimes. We were all covered from head to toe (or head to tail in my case) with mud. Did I say that it was great yet because it was. But mommy didnt think it was great. I could tell she didnt think it was great because when we got home mommy wouldnt let us in the house untill she sprayed us off with the hose and she had this mean mad look on her face. But I didnt mind (because I just love water that much) but daddy and the boy didnt like it too much. Oh well im tired now I think that I will take a nap.

oh that was great

oh oh oh that was fun we went to the lake."i love the lake" I got to run and swim and sniff and everytime i found the bird smelly toy i got a good boy did i mention that i got to swim and run. there was one thing i didnt really like at first it was this big wierd looking stick that made a big boom but after i realized that i couldnt go get it untill it went boom and daddy said so i didnt mind so much. this duck hunting thing might just be fun.

oh im so excited

Daddy told me that he is going to start some new training with me today. something about water and retrieving ducks i dont know all I heard was water and I got all excited and couldnt pay attetion any more. But he got this new toy looking thing for me its white soft and smells like a bird. Im not sure what im suposed to do with it yet but I bet it will be fun. Well he is loading up the truck so that means it is time to go.
