A little Bit About Ely

Ely is a neutered male, German Shepherd born October 11, 2002.

We adopted Ely from the Oregon Humane Society in November 2005. For 2 years he barely knew sit or lay down, and we were unable to walk him on a leash. He surfed the counters, ate pots and pans, and we had to crate him if we left the house so he wouldn't get into the freezer and eat our food.

In May 2007 Tim http://www.myspace.com/verlieren finally convinced me Ely needed something to do. We started training in Personal Protection and joined K9 Pro Sports http://www.k9prosportsonline.com Ely loves the training, I can now take him for walks and we no longer have to crate him when we leave the house.

With only a month of training we competed at the NW Working Dogs Expo held June 2007 in Canby, OR. where Ely placed 1st, earning 147 points. Which qualified us for the 2007 World Championships held November 3rd 2007 in Burleson, TX. where Ely placed 3rd earning 167.5 points!

After 6 months of training with Tim, Ely now has Canine Good Citizen and American Temperament Test Society certifications and is 2 competitions away from being a Certified Protection Dog.
