I decided against deleting Baxter's profile because of the memories we share and how many friends he has... Baxter was diagnosed with a brain tumor and passed away on Sept. 7, 2007... He was my special boy who had so much to give... He will always remain in my heart and my memory forever... Godspeed Baxter!! Momma loves you always!!

Me and Mommy make a road trip to save a female rottweiler

On Oct 24, my mommy and me helped a female rottweiler that came out of a high kill shelter here in Georgia. When Mommy went to get her, she was really skinny, but she was really happy to her. Her name is Judy, and Judy wanted to play. Judy and I played with a tennis ball for a hour after Judy was taken out of the shelter. Mommy says that Judy is going to be so very pretty when she puts all her weight on... I think Judy is pretty now but she is hungry all the time. On Oct 25, mommy and me take Judy for a roadtrip, so Mommy takes us from Atlanta, GA all the way up to Raleigh, NC to North Carolina Rottweiler Rescue. It was 7 hours to get there!! Mommy said that Judy and I were really good because we slept most of the way, but sometimes I would wake up and look over Mommy's shoulder to make sure she was driving in the right direction. What? I had to make sure we were going the right way!! When we got to Raleigh, NC, Mommy took us out and walked us. We meet with Diane, Founder of NCRR and Diane said I was pretty and Mommy said that I was her pretty boy. I agreed of course. Mommy and Diane visited for awhile, caught up on old times, while I laid down and ate a bone. At 7:30, Mommy said bye to everyone, and her and I began our trek alone without Judy back to Atlanta. I made sure to say bye to Judy and told her good luck and wished her well in finding her forever home. So Mommy and I load back up in the car, and we start heading home... Mommy thinks she is going to be able to make it back, but she starts getting tired around Charlotte. She said, " Ok, boy, time to pull over and find a hotel." so we stop somewhere in Charlotte and stay in a hotel, and mommy lets me sleep with her, but before I could go to sleep I had to kiss Mommy first. You know what she says? She says, " I'm trying to sleep, leave me alone." Well... (huffing) So I start giving her a kiss bath ALL OVER HER FACE, and then Mommy jumps up suddenly and startles me, and then we begin to wrestle in the bed. We had so much fun, but Mommy always beats me in wrestling. I don't understand sometimes!! I mean, she's a girl. So we finally settle down, I get in close so we can cuddle and then we go to sleep. Me and mommy were out until 7am. So, anyway, I'm sure you don't want to hear the rest of the story, it's boring anyway since Judy wasn't in it anymore. I want to give a SHOUT OUT: Hey Judy, I heard your spayed now, that's great, I hope you are doing well... Maybe our mommies can get together so we can play again!! Good luck, Judy!!

Mommies Note: Judy is available for adoption at North Carolina Rottweiler Rescue. Go there to see her profile, pictures and to fill out a application.

Baxter helps me fight against BSL

Baxter comes with me to PetsMart, we talk and mingle with people, he shakes paws with children and gives them kisses. I talk to people about BSL, and even if they don't have a breed that is affected with BSL, it could happen to them, considering Ontario is talking about banning Labrador Retrievers. My worst fear is that politics and ignorant people are going to try to ban the dog I love because of fear.
