Revenge!!

HAH! I knew I'd get that dinosaur sooner or later! Jesse was napping and I snuck up and nabbed it. I got that sucker opened up in seconds and de-stuffed him all over the living room. Then I took the squeaker out and squeaked it RIGHT IN JESSE'S EAR! Boy, did he jump. He looked so sad when he saw what I did, I felt kinda bad. So I let him use my hedgehog for a pillow. I gotta quit being such a softie.

I'm Pouting!

I can't believe all the stuff Jesse got for his birthday! What a ham! Dad put his new jersey on him and he was strutting around, showing off. He did share his meatloaf with me. I tried to "borrow" his new dinosaur, but he caught me before I could hide it on him. Darn Mom for getting him one with a squeaker in it! I got a new hedgehog, but his stuff looked better. I'll just wait a day or two and then that dinosaur IS MINE! Heh-heh! Later, Gunner AKA "sticky paws"

Jesse's Birthday!

Boy is Jesse hamming it up! Mom took us for cheeseburgers after work last night. He gets presents after dinner tonight and Mom always makes us a special birthday dinner. Everyone is giving him huggies and making a fuss over him! Hey guys, I'M the cute one! Pay some attention to ME! At least Mom always gets us both presents. Maybe I'll get new squeaky hedgehog to de-stuff! I'll have to make sure and steal one of his presents just to drive him crazy!

Almost Done!

Those guys have really been kicking b*tt on my deck! They just have to put the roof up and it's done! They worked so hard last week, Dad bought them pizzas for lunch Friday. They were pretty good about sharing with us. The really tall guy they call Randy wasn't too happy when I helped myself to his Mountain Dew. Hey, he's the one that left it right in front of my face, what's a dog to do? We showed those guys how to run and jump off the end. Then they put up a railing so I showed them how to jump over that too! Boy, were they suprised. That deck is going to be real handy for keeping an eye on the neighborhood. We can see everything from up there! I'll get Mom to post some pics of us on it next week. Gunner

The Deck's Started!

The work crew started on the new deck today! They look friendly but Mom said we have to stay inside out of their way. They have the big gate propped open and we could go cruisin' the neighborhood. She did take us out on our leashes to see them. They brought lunch boxes with them (I knew they would), but Mom wouldn't let us check them out. I think we should have given those lunch boxes a thorough going over, you never know what dangerous things they they might have in there (like twinkies, cookies, sub sandwichs). We are the top dangerous food disposal team on the block, after all! Stay tuned for updates! Gunner

No More Suprises Mom, PLEASE!!!

Friday started out normally until it was breakfast time. Then, what's going on Mom? Forgot about our breakfast? Falling down on the job, eh? Wait! OH BOY, leashes are out! A walk, yea Mom! Sounds good to me! No? Not a walk, a ride in the truck? Even better! I'll even go see Dr. Scott if it means a ride! Heh! This isn't the way to Dr. Scott's! Are you lost, again? What's this place? Waaait a minute, I smell SHAMPOO! The groomer!! What ARE you thinking, woman? It took me two months to get this fragrant! Plus she always cuts my nails! Are you mad at me or something? Mom wouldn't even answer me, she was so ashamed of herself! Then she left us there for TWO WHOLE HOURS!! 'Course I did look gorgeous when I was done. I told her all the way home how mean she was. She felt soooo bad she made us hot dog omlets when we got home! I guess it was worth it cause everyone keeps telling me how good I smell and soft I feel. They keep giving me kisses and huggies. The Puppy Blues!

All Jesse can talk about is that new "poopy" next door! It's not fair, I'm waaay cuter. He better not try to get Mom's attention, that belongs just to me! Jesse said Charlie's going to come over to play Friday. He better not try to play with my toys... or my rawhides... or my tennis balls... or my giant jolly ball, they're MINE, MINE, MINE!!! He looks like he will be fun to chase though. Maybe he'll be okay to have for a friend, we'll see. Gotta go have dinner now. Mom's calling and if Jesse gets there first he takes all the best stuff out of my bowl!

Watching Over Mom

This was a scary week. Mom fell down the porch stairs last Sunday morning. The Doc said she cracked some ribs and bruised her back and leg, strained her knee. She had to stay home from work all week and sit on ice packs. Me & Jesse got to guard her 24/7. It was kind of neat having her home all the time, but she couldn't play with us and was walking real slow. She got to go outside this morning and said her and Grandma will take us for a walk this afternoon. A very slow walk. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. Dad's a pretty good cook, but he doesn't "drop" as much when he's cooking. I sure miss "helping" Mom in the kitchen.

Competition Next Door!

Oh my gosh, they got a puppy next door! Jesse was looking over the fence so I had to check it out. There it was trying to get to us, whining and being a wrigglebutt. It looks like one of my stuffed animals (before I break it in). Jesse was so excited, he went and got Mom to show her. I know he loves puppies, but really, show a little restraint, would you? He is so easy. It is pretty cute though. I suppose I could play with it a little bit. As long as he doesn't try to horn in on my toys or treats. He was tripping over his own paws trying to run, so he probably won't be able to catch us for while. He might be good for a few laughs. We'll see.

Everything Is Melting!

I can't believe it. It got so warm yesterday! All my snow is melting. Everything is wet and muddy, which is also fun, but then I have to get my feet wiped off all the time. No fair! It's been pretty quiet around here lately. Not too many visitors except family. As long as they remember to bring me and Jesse toys and treats. All our people have been sick with a nasty virus the last month. Alyssa was sick for 4 days and I had to sleep next to her the whole time so she would get better and play with us. I did get to go with Mom last Friday to pick up Grandma from work. The people on the sidewalk were so funny. I would wait til they were walking past my truck, then stick my head out the window and woof at them. They were so funny. It was just one of my quiet, soft little woofs(yeah, right, as if). You would think it was a wolf after them the way they would jump and run. Grandma works downtown by the Courthouse, so all the people are dressed up for court. Ever see a human try to run in high heels? On icy sidewalks? Talk about entertainment! Mom is fixing Sunday dinner (I smell pork roast in the air) so I have to go supervise. Woof at you later!
