Wow, Dog of the day?!? me??? I'm so happy!!!!

I got an email saying I was dog of the day!!! I was soo excited..Since my mom had this baby I've been a bit neglected. But being dog of the day has really cheered me up. My mom said she's going to take some new pictures of me today to help me celebrate and will even give me a pig ear...all to myself!

Recently I've gotten over a nasty tick disease they have here...it made my platelet count really low and I'm still on medicine for that, but I'm doing SOOO much better.

I'm glad to be Dog of the Day and I wear this honor proudly! Thanks Dogster and my dogster pup pal friends!!!!

Long time...

Well its been a very long time since my Mom had time to update my webpage. Since she had my little human brother...she's been a little busier than normal and my Daddy has had to take up the slack and take me and my doggie sister Lucy on walks. Right now I'm getting de-ticked every day since they like my long fur here in Panama. And I'm loving my new house with its fenced yard. I can go out there and dig in the dirt all I want without my mommy worrying that I'll get hit by a car, or bite a boy on a skateboard. Its really great!

Today is my birthday!!

Well I am officially 4 yrs old today!! Wow, time is flying by...or maybe its the frisbees that are flying!
My mom took my photo next to the Christmas tree and gave me extra special yummy dinner, and she also put a Happy Birthday hat on me and made me wear it for longer than I wanted to!! I was very tolerant about it though, she even let me have some whipped cream too.
Well Happy Birthday to me!! And everyone else who has a birthday today too!!

New puppy!

Wow, I cannot believe my mom and dad thought to replace me with another puppy!! My mom has given me lots of love these past few days since bringing home that chewing, biting, jumping puppy that loves to come in and lick my face!! Ugh, how gross! Anyways, I'm getting used to growling at her and having her around now. I'm not liking it much, but she has potential to be fun one day. She likes to play tug of war and I do too.
Well I don't have much time on the computer, with this new rugrat, I have to share things now! YUCK!!! I'm used to being the spoiled older child. At least she sleeps alot...

Rainy Season

Well its the start of rainy season and I (Oreo) HATE the rain, the thunder is scary, and the stuff from out of the sky....I don't really like that much either! My dad forced me outside and I played some frisbee, but then went in the garage area to see if I could sqeeze under the car (I couldn't), so I walked up the backsteps near the kitchen and stayed there..I felt safe from the thunder. I don't run off when it thunders, but I will stick to one spot. My mom remembered me when she was baking a pie in the kitchen, she opened the door and dried me off, then I laid by her feet...and wondered...will she pick up my metal food bowl? The one that makes that neato reflection on the ceiling and walls? We call those "Shiny's" and I think they are the greatest thing...no matter where outside I am...when my mom picks up that bowl and gently taps it with her fingernail...I run up the stairs inside the house REAL quick, then she'll manuver it all around for me so I can chase after it in the kitchen. My dad thinks its a real pain...because our kitchen is small and there isn't a lot of room in there when mom's making something and dad's trying to get a drink while I'm there trying to get my shiny's. Oh well, I guess I'll get used to all this rain soon enough. It doesn't look like I have a choice.
Have a Happy Easter to everyone! Hopefully my mom will put treats in eggs and let me open them like she does every year. I'll make sure I tell her to take a picture of me with them too! I like having my picture taken when I'm trying to dig into my treats! Yippeee....

New Car to drool in!

Well todays the day, my moms very excited because we are getting a new SUV today! I'll have a new vehicle to drool and slobber all over. My mom says she going to be good about leaving a thick sheet on the backseat and my dad says that i'm not even allowed on the backseat! Lets see how well they can put me ALL THE WAY IN THE BACK!!! My mom's much nicer, she lets me on the FRONT seat when she drops dad off at work, he never knows either, unless I dribble down the dash, or smear my nose prints on the passenger window....then my poor mom gets "the look" Oh well. i have fun in the front...My mouth trying to get the air out of the a/c or if the window is down a crack, then I'm trying to bite that too. Sometimes though i get a little too excited and have to jump from the backseat to the front seat and then back to the back again!! My mom doesn't like it when I do that, she gets annoyed because sometimes I'll swipe her face with my tail and thats scary considering drivers here are lunatics!

Oreo in Panama

Oreo is adjusting quite well to his new country...Republic of Panama, he moved from Gainesville, Florida. He thinks Florida weather and the weather in Panama is very similar....being that its hot! But now, we don't even have to deal with cold weather. He's excited to keep going on his fun car rides and has even been to the beach 2 times already! He likes trying to herd the waves, and then throws up afterwards from drinking too much saltwater. His mom always brings with her LOTS of freshwater for him to drink afterwards!!
Right now is really dry, but once the rainy season starts, Oreo will be hanging out in his favorite spot at the middle of the landing on the stairs since he doens't like thunderstorms...AT ALL! Anything that goes bang or boom makes him lay down and pant excessively. He loves to drool and fortunately our maid mops the floors when she comes twice a week. His drool is gross and I've actually slipped on it!
Well thats all for now. Oreo's hoping to get another doggie addition to the family relatively soon. His brother Jack has stayed in Florida with my parents, so he's kept company by his full older brother Snickers (1 yr older same mom and dad) and new border collie puppy named Ellie. Who is struggling to learn to go potty outside.
