Arrival Story:
Formerly known as tag #674, Lani was a stray that ended up at the Humane Society. The Humane Society doesn't know what her mix is and guessed that she was about 6 months old. Although we were looking for an older dog, Lani just stole our hearts. She was the only dog that wasn't jumping around and barking--she was content to lie by the gate and let us pet her. It didn't take us long to sign the adoption papers and on October 6, 2003, we brought Lani home. We named her Lani, which is Hawaiian for "heaven", because she truly is! She has successfully completed beginning and advanced puppy classes and has turned into a wonderful companion. She loves playing with our neighborhood children and will bark if she's ignored.
