We rescued Eddie while visiting family in February 2005. He was just a puppy, full of energy. His diet was very poor, comprised mainly of Beer and marijuana. His back was severly torn up from fighting and he was infested with fleas. So, we got the owners to agree to let us take Eddie away.
Originally, we were hoping that Eddie would grow up and learn to live with the other dachshunds. But his increasing size was just too much for the weinerdogs, and they never really got along. Eddie had to be kept separate from the others, which was not fair for him.
We decided that the best thing for everyone was to give Eddie to a rescue group that would adopt him out to an owner that could give him the love and attention that he deserves. On December 31st, 2005, Eddie was officially gone, being given over to the RRUFF Organization. He was being fostered in Connecticut but in January 2007 he was officially adopted!
We love and miss Eddie, but we knew that he could never be happy with us. He needed a home where he would be the center of attention, and now he has that. Good luck Eddie! This is a special Tail of Devotion
