Arrival Story:
UPDATE: It is with heavy heart that I tell everyone that Butch went to the Bridge on October 15, 2012. It's been almost a year and I just can't seem to get past the pain. Butch was diagnosed with a pancreatic tumor that caused him to have high insulin levels that caused insulmnia. He fought past when he wanted to give up, but finally he made the choice and died as he lived: on his own terms. Until we meet again, my furry little boy.....I will always love you. My mother owned his doggie mother and she bred her so my daughter would have a puppy, I did NOT want a small dog and told them so. Then Tara went into labor and I delivered her puppies, including one that made me exclaim, Oh My God, she had a COW!!. That was Butch and he's been with me ever since.

Mom and me are habin a rough time...I was jus diagnosed with what is most likely a tumor on my pancreis. The vet-man says that surgery is not a good choice because of my age and cause the tumors usualy grow back. They've got me on steroids and he told Mama to keep feeding me wet food and high protein food...anyone out there have suggestions about what I can eat to keep my blood sugar up?

Mamma is nuckin futz!

I swear, my mamma is crazy! See, I am Butch, or Butch's Southern Thunder. My sire was Thor and my dam was Tara. I am NOT a dog! Why in the world would anyone mistake me for a dog?? I am shaped like a Lhasa Apso, I know and I do have that little hair problem...but so does daddy and you don't see people calling HIM a doggie, do you? Let me be perfectly clear. I AM NOT A DOG. I AM AN EXCEPTIONALLY HAIRY LITTLE PERSON!

Oh, you want proof? Fine. For my first year, I had a place at the table with mamma and little sissie. For SEVEN years I had my own pillow on mamma's bed and slept next to her...until we got the daddy, anyway. And that's okay, it was a good trade. The daddy is pretty cool and gives me lots of scritches and treats....but everyone likes scritches and treats, right?? You don't give DOGS scritches...do you????????

Anyway. It's 9 am and I have some sleep to catch up on...I think I'll go lay down with little sissie, she's not feeling good and I always make her feel better...and I still have a pillow on HER bed.....

Butch
