   Leave a bone for Chance

Second Chance, Chauncey, Chancey, Boy, Poopeck, Woofkins, Baby

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-mutt-dog rescue

Play! When I first brought Chance home, he was content if we just spent time together. Now that his legs are healed, he's all play, all the time! He also loves being outside; he lies down, stretches out in the warm rays of the sun and sighs contently.

He despises being bathed and getting his ears cleaned. Worse yet, he hates being confined or restrained. When closed into my brother’s room he destroyed the carpet trying to dig out. He can also bust out of a crate like it was made of straw.

Favorite Toy:
Hollee Mollee Extreme, and rope toys (which he's not allowed to have because to him, they're edible).

Favorite Food:
If he's not supposed to eat it, he wants it. As far as his favorite allowable foods, he treasures Greenies, and any kind of treat. He'll even eat vegetables, which, when I first brought him home, would be spit out in disdain.

Favorite Walk:
His favorite walk leads to the park, because he knows our destination. He'll pull you on the way there, but on the way back home he's exhausted, so we usually have to drag him along.

Best Tricks:
He knows the basics.... sit, down, stay, paw, bed, chewbacca

Arrival Story:
On a warm May night, Arlene (Chance's fairy Godmother) was returning home from a usual visit at her friend’s house when she decided not to take the usual route home. Half-way home, Arlene saw what she thought was the motionless body of a child laying limp on the side of the road. After immediately calling 911, Arlene jumped out of her car, raced to the side of this lifeless body and saw, through the dark of night, a beautiful brindle and white dog. Arlene brought this poor dog to one animal hospital after another, each recommending euthansia because of the extent of his injuries. But Arlene was determined to give this dog a second chance. She brought him to a third hospital, where he recieved his surgery and rehabilitation. This is where I met Chance, as he became known, changing both of our lives forever.

Chance would not be here today if it weren't for the compassion of Arlene and Pet Peeves (goto Through Pet Peeves, Arlene raised over $3,000 to cover Chance's medical costs.
