Arrival Story:
Siberian Husky Rescue of Fl found out that "Spirit" was in a shelter, and his time was up. A call went out throughout the rescue about what we should do. There were no foster homes, but something told me this little guy was special. Without seeing a picture, Alessio and I went to get this little guy. He underwent heartworm treatment, and he's doing well now. I can't imagine that this perfect dog was not in someones home being cuddled. He is so mellow and loving! He is my sweet darling, and I can't imagine waking up in the morning without him being next to the bed.

I have new pictures of my pretty face. I've become so gorgeous and sweet my mom and dad don't know what to do with me! December 24th, 2010, I began to vomit. Mom and Dad didn't realize how sick I was. About 8 hours later, I was at the emergency vet's office. None of us knew this would be our final destination together. When we left home, I was looking tired but not like I was dying. It turns out every immune response possible was being activated, and the cause could not be determined. I stayed there 3 days with oxygen, fluids, and antibiotics, but I just couldn't take any more. All of the x-rays, ultrasounds, and tests had no answers. When I started to cry, something Mom and Dad had never heard before, they knew I was asking to be released from my dying body. I didn't want to stay in the run on the blankets. I was trying to crawl away, even though I hadn't been able to walk for hours. Tearfully, my mom and dad let the vet know it was time. There was nothing they could do for me, and they understood my plea. With a now pain-free body, I'm playing at the Rainbow Bridge awaiting my family to meet me again.

Other stuff about me:
I'm a woolly husky! I have extra long fur from recessive gene expression. Wooo! I'm beautiful but definitely against my breed's standard. My humans' don't care though. They still worship me and love having me as a "pet". (They're really my servants.)
