Arrival Story:
Jake's original parents couldn't keep him.. so we took him in with plans for him to be taken to live with another releative. Before they came to pick Jake up,.. we had him for about six weeks.. and fell in love! He made the trip with his new owners.. but after a week.. we missed him soooo much.. we drove to Kentucky and brought Jake home.

Bio:
Jake is so loveable and trustworthy. He is such a kind and gentle soul. He wants to be a lap dog so bad, it's hard to do that being a 96 pd. dog. He's protective toward strange dogs, but really scarred of thunder storms. We tease him and say he was suppose to be a chihuahua (lap dog ) but the experiment backfired, and boom! we got a "Big Boy" instead. added 5/30/09: Jake.. like his dog brother, Lucky.. developed cancer. He passed away on May 2nd, 2009. There are two positive things about his death. #1.. he suffers no more, Jake is running as fast as he wants,.. eating all he wants, breathing easy and sleeping like a pup. #2.. he is with his Lucky again. These two boys were the best of friends here on earth.. guarding our backyard.. sharing toys and treats and mom and dad's love. Now I am sure they are partners in crime again! Jake,.. Thank you for blessing out lives.. we miss you so much.. but I am glad we were allowed to love you for so many years. I am happy you are resting easy now. Tell Lucky we miss him too!

Jake.. like his dog brother, Lucky.. developed cancer.

For Jake.. it was the right time to let him go.. and only our deep caring and love for him would let us do that. For us.. there would never have been a good time to not have him here. I still see him laying at my feet n the TV room. I still see him snoozing on the floor of the camper.. or chillin' out on his "big boy bed".. I will always miss my buddy going places with me.. Standing up in the back seat looking out the window because he didn't want to miss a thing.

Jake,.. Thank you for blessing out lives.. we miss you so much.. but I am glad we were allowed to love you for so many years. I am happy you are resting easy now. Tell Lucky we miss him too!
