Arrival Story: I had gone to the Camden County SPCA on a Wednesday night in March 2003 to look at a couple dogs I had seen on Petfinder and was looking at a Great Dane next to Sasha's cage. The staff had thought I was looking at Sasha (formerly Carrie) and asked if they could take her out for me. Here was an extremely shy pit bull/boxer mix who had been at the shelter for almost a year and was running out of time for adoption. This shelter always has tons of pit bulls that are in need of homes, but due to their reputation, are often looked overlooked when adopting a pet. However, when I found out that this little girl was about to be euthanized if she was not soon adopted, I immediately filled out the paper work and 2 days later, Sasha came home with me.
When she arrived at her new home, there were newly bought toys, a puppy bed, and grooming supplies waiting for her. She was about a 1 1/2-2 yrs old and did not understand the concept of toys or even a doggie bed. Someone had not been very nice to Sasha in the past and I was determined to give her lots of love and training to overcome these fears. Over time, Sasha learned to play with toys, sleep on her bed (and now other furniture), greet people and other dogs and become more confident. She has the sweetest disposition and I can not imagine life without her.

Bio: Sasha is about 58 lbs, has a golden coat, and the cutest snaggletooth! Sasha was the winner of the Blue Buffalo Dog Food contest and her own trading card with picture and stats distributed in the bags of dog food during October 2005! I'm very proud of my little girl!
