Likes:
Food! Love! Sleep!

Pet-Peeves:
No food, thunder, a bed I can't get up on, dogs who take my bone

Favorite Toy:
Rawhide bones, anything food-related.

Favorite Food:
Avocado

Favorite Walk:
The route that passes the fried chicken place

Best Tricks:
"Dame la patica" ("Give me your paw") is my most popular. Although "wait" is definitely an accomplishment for me, because it's really hard to control myself where food's involved.

Arrival Story:
Milo and I are family, but we have different guardians. I came to Mom as a Christmas gift from abuelo and abuela, Mom's parents. Some people say my nose is wonky for my breed, but my family tells me I'm the prettiest puppy they've ever seen. I give my love to everybody who crosses my path. My mom called me "rug-muncher" because I literally ate some rug when I was a baby, but I'd also love to befriend other queer-friendly doggies. I also ate a pen once. Fortunately, I've put those antics behind me.

Bio:
I was born in Florida, but moved to the city in 2003 when my mom started grad school. I love to live in NYC and go for walks foraging for food. Not because I am starved, mind you. It's just that much more fun when you find it yourself, you know? In the summers, I enjoy vacationing in Florida where my doggie cousins Sophie and Max live. My boring old spinster aunts, Molly and Pooky, live there too, but they're not as much fun. My grandparents take care of me (and spoil me) while Mom travels. It's just the flight to Miami that's a little rough for me. But I'm working on that particular anxiety problem.

A Day in the Park

Grad Student Picnic

I went with Mom and Milo and Tia Monica to the park. There were some familiar faces there, and lots of new ones. I love people! There were two other doggies too: Megu and Rosie. Rosie was a puppy, and for some reason, she made me really unhappy. Maybe because she took my bone. You know you just can't mess with my bone. She's adorable, really. And I love meeting new doggies on the street and sniffing each other and maybe throwing down a bit--all in good fun. But I don't have much patience for young'uns.

It was an exhausting day. I needed to sleep about 15 hours to begin to recover. I feel I should get more food after burning all that energy. Well, I did steal a few bits at the picnic. And some wine! (Shhh...don't tell anybody.)
