Arrival Story: My mom and dad always wanted a dog. They both had dogs growing up. They put off getting one till they were married and had a house. They tested the water's by dog sitting my cousin(shorty).When Shorty left mom was so sad and said "It is time for our own" so the searching to find me began. Within a week they found me! I came from a rescue group here in CT. Mom loved that idea. They were considering lots of breeds of dogs but felt "when we find the right one for us we will know" and that was ME.... BRUNO!!!
Bio: Here is my story...I came from a high kill shelter in TN. i was surrended without my real parents, i don't remember them. i then took a long ride with my three siblings to CT. We stayed with Wendy and then I was adopted by a family who called me Chase in April/May of 2006. They broke my puppy habits, housetrained me, taught me to sit and "paw". The family returned me to Wendy at the rescue in Aug of 2006 saying their son was allergic me. what did i do wrong? A few weeks later some new people came to visit me and asked LOTS of questions. They thought i was cute, well behaved and i sniffed out a treat in the lady's purse(so she had to give to me). A few days later they returned and i went to my home! I dont know my breed. I am a hound for sure, I love to sniff, even the air! My orginal name in the shelter in TN was Bruno and when i returned to Wendy she called me Bruno. I like that name and so do my mommy and daddy so they kept it!

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Hey everyone it's me Bruno! My house has been very busy lately. Mom and Dad have new dogs at our house all the time. Not sure what is going on but they are only there for a short time. I think they are doing something called fostering??? We had two little females and now we have a male dog my age and size. I like being able to play with the dogs but i get tired and sometimes just want to cuddle and sleep. Mom and Dad have to share their attention with the other dogs but that is ok. While the foster dog is getting attention i go and steal all their toys or sniff their crate. I also recently got to go on vacation with my uncle matt. i went to his house and got to play with another dog and my grandpa Ralph. It was lots of fun but i missed my mom and dad. I have heard Dad whispering about Christmas gifts to Mom. I do not know what that means but I will find out soon. I think i heard Dad ordering me another dog bed with my name on it and i may be getting a big bone. SHHHH dont tell them i know. My parents dont realize dogs have better hearing then humans. Oh and i forgot to mention I have a new best friend.... i want her to be my girlfriend but I think she needs to grow up a little first. "my friend" Reese is 13wk old shephard hound mix. She is very bouncy and playful. She has very sharp puppy teeth. She is also small right now and can hide in places i cannot go. She will be bigger soon. My mommy found Reese for a her friend that i call Auntie. When we go to their house to play I get so excited.
recently mom and dad bought me a doggie bed for their room. i get to sleep in their room at night on my own bed. i prefer their bed with them but i can settle for my own. i really love my bed. mom even gives me a blanket for my bed. when it's cold she will cover me up. during the day mom slides my bed under the big bed so she doesnt trip. well since i love my bed so much i crawl under the big bed to lay on my own bed. mom thinks i am crazy and sometimes she gets nervous and can't find me cause i am hiding. i love my cozy spot under the bed. maybe mom will put some pics up of me under the bed.
i have been getting lots of treats lately because mom and dad are teaching me things. i even get to go to school and see other doggies. i like to lay on the floor at school will Dave, my trainer talks to all the people there. sometimes he takes me in front of the class. i like when i get to do that. i graduate from my puppy class and i will be attending my next level of class. i am doing really well and mom and dad are very happy with me. however when they take me out on my leash i like to run, sniff and explore. mom and dad think i should walk nicely next to them, but i think otherwise!!
