Arrival Story:
Clementine was being sold at a flea market for $50, I was looking for a puppy at that time, but I was not expecting this! lol. My mother called me and she told me to get dressed and walk to the flea market to come see what she found, luckily it wasn't all that far from my house, so I went and I met her at the cage where Clementine and two of her other sisters were staying, need I remind you, this cage was a bird cage without a top and it wasn't even fit for a small parrot, yet three 7 week old coonhound puppies were currently in there. Clementine was the first puppy I held and I couldn't possibly put her down. She was terrified of everything, and that oddly made me want her more than the other two puppies that were kindly licking me. I wanted to take this scared little puppy and show her that things aren't so bad after all. When I first got home with her, she went straight to the bath, she smelled of cheap dry dog food and she was infested with fleas, she was bathed in Ivory dish soap because she was too young to have the flea soap put on her. She didn't have fleas after that. She slept alot for the first two weeks, then all of the rest she got HAD to come out, and she took her hyperness out on my sofas, chairs, bed, everything... It was a disaster, I obviously didn't know what I was getting myself into when I bought this beautiful little puppy with this wrinkles on her face. LESSON LEARNED, RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY/ADOPT! Your furniture is at risk... She calmed down a very, very, VERY small amount, but she's fantastic and very protective.
