The In-PAWS-able Life I Lead

I'll be 6 years old this Sepetember. It's been an interesting life so far. I've moved from two Texas cities in 2 years, then I moved to California; then I moved to Washington state where my family has been living now for 3 years. I like travelling, so all the moving has not bothered me one bit. Mom and Dad adopted a cat in California. His name is Thomas. He was only about 2 months old when he came to live with us, so he's used to my being around, although I'll chase him around the house from time to time to let him know I'm the big sister around here. Last year, mom and dad adopted another cat. His name is James. He's a purebreed Siamese. He's really loud and he cries all night, but it doesn't seem to bother my parents. I have gotten used to his weird meows, so I tolerate him. I have noticed that it's gotten a lot more crowded in bed at anight. Thomas and James, mom and dad...we all share one king-sized bed. If mom and dad don't seem to mind, I guess I shouldn't complain. I know a lot of dogs who don't have nice big comfortable beds to sleep in. I know lots of dogs have to sleep outside, and some dogs don't even have a family to love them. I try not to complain about anything because I know how good I have it here. My parents are college students. Mom is studying for her PhD and dad is getting his degree in Computer Science. They work and study all the time, but they don't have a lot of money in the bank. This April, I made my parents freak out. Mom found a lump in one my teats. When she and dad took me to the vets, my parents' worse fear was confirmed: it was a tumor. Over 6 vets took care of me. The lump had to removed, then biopsed. Thankfully, it came back benign. All the doctors and the operation and the medication...it all cost a lo t of money, but my folks never once complained about all the money they spent on me. That's why I try not to give them any trouble. I know my parents love me, and I love them. Ok, that's it for now. It's time to chase the cats again.
