Arrival Story: Being a huge Wizard of Oz fan, Mom had wanted a "Toto" dog since she was a child. She has also loves the way Scotties look. After wandering into the pet store at the local mall one day, which she never usually does since pet stores are a horrible place to adopt a puppy, Mom saw me. She thought I was a little brindle Scottie at first, but thought I looked like the Toto of her dreams, even though I wasn't 100% Cairn. She then found out I was half Cairn and half Scottie which was even better because she had read that Cairns have great personalities. That day, Mom convinced Dad that I needed to come home with them, and I did. Mom couldn't bear the thought of leaving me at that store! I have since become Dad's loyal companion, although I do love Mom very much. In fact, I love to cuddle with Mom every night when I go to sleep. Since I grew up, I don't look so much like Toto from the Wizard of Oz anymore, but most people agree that I am very cute.

Bio: Contrary to popular belief about my breeds, I am a lap dog and I love to give hugs too. I am a very sensitive guy. If you scold me, I walk direcly into my crate as I find it a safehaven from the chaos (Mom and Dad decided to recently adopt a Yorkie who has since become my little sister, Bailey). Bailey loves to chase me around the house and I think it is fun too, but sometimes I need quiet time. Sometimes my Scottie side comes out when I am being groomed. I'm sure Roy the groomer did not appreciate our last visit when I nipped him when he tried to trim my toenails. I hope I won't do that next time. Really, I am a very good, loving boy.
