Likes: To eat a piece frozen broccoli for a treat or sometimes a tomato pulled off the vine. [see my Garden Treat movie] I love fresh juicy oranges too.
Pet-Peeves: Being left at home alone. Not getting enough attention from new people I meet. GETTING MY NAILS TRIMMED!
Favorite Toy: It was A hand puppet of "Alf" because it looked like me but I tore it up. Now I like my pull rope the best.
Favorite Food: frozen broccoli but puppy food is my staple diet - sometimes with a little cup of milk on the side.
Favorite Walk: At the local Art Center to see all my friends then go a few blocks away to the City Dog Park!
Best Tricks: Sit, Lie down, crawl, shake hands, high 5, very high 10, roll over, say "mama", speak, heal, stay and retrieve anything thrown then place it back in your hand
Arrival Story: My family lost their beloved beagle and searched for a beagle or beagle mix at the local humane shelters. My picture came up in a search at PetFinder.com as a Shar-pei-Beagle mix but I've been told that I'm really more of a Shar-pei Golden Retriever mix with maybe a little beagle mixed in from the past.
I was picked up the very next day when I was only 8 weeks old and my new family named named me "Rufus" Chickus Magnetus. I had been taken to the shelter because I liked to chew on things TOO much -- don't most puppies like th chew when they're weeks old! Woof!
Bio: You can see more stuff about me on my own web site at www.chickus.comor check out my MySpace page. You can use my link list at My coolstuff®.

I am on a 30 day trip out West. I saw the Zion Nat'l Park today in Utah and took a swim in a small river. I'm now on my way to check out the sandy beaches of San Diego. I am really far from home right now. I'll have some photos on all my web pages soon. www.chickus.com
Starting on June 19th, Rufus Chickus Magnetus will be featured on one of the digital displays in Times Square, New York.
LongLiveYourDog.com is estimating that Rufus Chickus Magnetus will appear between 6:00 AM and 6:20 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST). This is our best estimate based on the number of dogs submitted. Actual times may vary.

I won a cool night-light with my photo on it.
I turned 2 years old this month and received tons of email messages and comments on Dogster.com and MySpace.com. Thank you for all your wishes! I was fed great food on that day - steak scraps, hamburger and my favorite, BEER! We spent lots of the weekend at the Art Center for the Broad Ripple Art Fair and friends snuck me cups of more beer! I woke up my parents Sunday morning with a huge beer burb in their faces. BOL (bark out loud)
