Likes: To eat a piece frozen broccoli for a treat or sometimes a tomato pulled off the vine. [see my Garden Treat movie] I love fresh juicy oranges too.
Pet-Peeves: Being left at home alone. Not getting enough attention from new people I meet. GETTING MY NAILS TRIMMED!
Favorite Toy: It was A hand puppet of "Alf" because it looked like me but I tore it up. Now I like my pull rope the best.
Favorite Food: frozen broccoli but puppy food is my staple diet - sometimes with a little cup of milk on the side.
Favorite Walk: At the local Art Center to see all my friends then go a few blocks away to the City Dog Park!
Best Tricks: Sit, Lie down, crawl, shake hands, high 5, very high 10, roll over, say "mama", speak, heal, stay and retrieve anything thrown then place it back in your hand
Arrival Story: My family lost their beloved beagle and searched for a beagle or beagle mix at the local humane shelters. I came up in a search at PetFinder.com as a Shar-pei-Beagle mix but I'm really a Shar-pei Golden Retriever mix with maybe a little beagle mixed in from the past.
I was picked him up the very next day at 8 weeks old and named Rufus Chickus Magnetus. I had been given to the shelter because he liked to chew things too much! Duh! Don't most puppies 8 weeks old!

I won a cool night-light with my photo on it.
I turned 2 years old this month and received tons of email messages and comments on Dogster.com and MySpace.com. Thank you for all your wishes! I was fed great food on that day - steak scraps, hamburger and my favorite, BEER! We spent lots of the weekend at the Art Center for the Broad Ripple Art Fair and friends snuck me cups of more beer! I woke up my parents Sunday morning with a huge beer burb in their faces. BOL (bark out loud)
What's coming up?
I was recently elected to be the official macot for Walk a Hound, Lose a Pound. I'll be at their first grand opening event in June. Go to http://www.walkAhound.org for more information and to sign up for notification of all their Indianapolis events. You will be able to meet me, get a 5x7 photo for a $1-$9 donation or an 8x10 photo for donations over $10. If you want to walk me during the event, more information will be available soon about how you can place a bid on that opportunity. All proceeds will be 401c3 tax deductible to Walk a Hound, Lose a Pound, Inc.
I recently entered a new contest to be in a commercial for Circuit City as the Firedog. The best thing about this contest is the prize! If I win first, $50,000 or more will be donated to a Humane Society of my choice.
