Another week, another nap

Wow these past few weeks have really flown by!! I went back to the vet and I was wagging my tail and begging for the humans to pet me! I love human attention, other dogs, well maybe I'll work up to that. The vet said I took a 180 degree turn and I'm doing so much better!! A couple weeks I discovered this thing mommy calls barking. I bark at most people when I'm out walking b/c i want some love . .. . and most give it to me!!! Today I made a doggie friend. Mommy laughed at me because I was violently wagging my tail but had my hair stand up too, I can't help it. My Grandpa from Pennsylvania came to visit for four whole days!!! I was a bit nervous at first, but by the end of the first night we were napping on the couch together. I hate when mommy and daddy leave for what seems like forever, but during this down time I sleep alllllll day in my little bed. I love running around the house when the parental units come home. I love when mommy brushes my teeth!!! The vet told her she has to do it everyday . . .. which is great!! I'm not a big fan of the whole brushing thing, I just like to lick the green peanut toothpaste!! Well lunch is up (FINALLY) so I'm going to go eat!

A Week of Changes

Wow a lot has happened this past week. On August 31 I was dropped off at the rescue place and on Friday September, 1 I was adopted by my Mommy and Daddy. I was scared when they came to visit me at the rescue, but I was completely smitten when mom scratches my neck . . . it felt so good I'm almost dozing off just thinking about it. We I got to my new apartment I was amazed that I was allowed to roam free, before in the home before me I was confined to just a crate. I love it here. The first two days were hard for me because I didn't know that I was suppose to go potty OUTSIDE, apparently mommy doesn't like me peeing on her new coffee table. On Tuesday I went to the vet, the vet assistant was gushing over my color being rare and offered me treats. But THEN she tried to stick a thermometer up my bum and I freaked out and released all the stench in my anal glands. OOPS, mommy and daddy were gagging, I was scared then but I find it so funny. The doctor tested to see if I had mites, but I don't, instead I have a skin infection. I have to take pills which I love because they're in peanut butter!!! The doc also said I need to gain at least three pounds, right now I barely weigh ten pounds. He told mommy not to feed me wet dog food but to mix 1/3 cup of dry food, with 1 teaspoon of water, and 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce (Prego organic tomato basil all the way!!) 2-3 times a day. I love it!!! I like to let it sit for about 3 hours so it's nice and soggy, mommy says that's gross. Speaking of Mommy, I love to cuddle with her!!! My favorite spot in the entire world (other than being at Daddy's side) is snuggling/sleeping with her on the couch. However, Daddy is my favorite. I get so upset when he leaves, even if it's just to go to the bathroom. I'm a Daddy's boy. But I love them both and I'm so glad they adopted me. I never go in my crate unless its bedtime and I find myself wagging my tail more often, ahhhh life is good!!!
