Arrival Story:
Cheyenne's orginal ower had knee surgery and he asked his friends to watch her for a few days, a few days turned into a couple of months and those two friends turned into twenty friends. He said he couldn't take her back and she was left homeless. The last family who had her said they would find her a furrever home. Cheyenne picked me out of everyone who came to look at her.

Bio:
In August of '04 Cheyenne was Dx with a lump on her spine. She had lost the use of her back legs and was trying to drag herself to follow me through the house. We went to the Vet and they found the lump. Surgery was not an option due to the placement of the tumor so we tried using medication to treat the tumor. We were told this would not fix the problem, but it would slow the progression of the growth. Medication worked like magic for the first 10 days, then she started limping again and her back right leg started draging. I told Cheyenne I would do whatever needed to be done to make her comfortable and when it was time she would let me know. October came so quickly and Cheyenne woke up one day and couldn't move again. She had such a pained look in her eye, we knew it was time. I called the vet and carried her to the truck. We went straight to the exam room and Cheyenne laid in my lap giving me kisses. The vet came in and gave Cheyenne an injection to help her relax so the Euthanol wouldn't hurt as much. Five minutes later (the fastest five minutes in my life) came and went. They came back and sent Cheyenne to the Rainbow Bridge.
