from baby to big sister

thank you dogster for picking me as one of the daily diary picks! i feel special once again. things have been getting better around here. my mama and daddy are making an effort. this past week i have been let loose to roam the house in the evenings. daddy doesn't refer to me as the baby anymore. instead, i'm coco, the big sister. and, the new baby naomi seems to like me! when mama is carrying her she stares down at me and actually smiles. maybe she's a little cute...she just better not pull my hair later on. wait, i forgot, since daddy cut my hair, i have none! i want to send out a message to zumi(my grandfather's dog) who lives upstairs. barking all morning will not make your papa come home any sooner...don't worry, he'll be back after work. thanks again to everyone who has read my sad stories. things are looking up...for those of you who are down remember things will get better and there are humans out there who love you. sending aloha and sunshine to my fellow pup pals who are stuck in cold weather.

new haircuts

mama cut my daddy's hair yesterday. but aunty keli cut mama's hair this afternoon. there is a reason why she cuts mama's hair...take a look at me! this evening my daddy gave me a haircut. a big haircut, a buzz cut. actually i feel a lot better. hair can be very heavy. it grows back fast. daddy has decided that i'm going to be an "outside" dog. but, i think it will be a while until i am moved out to the patio because first he has to build me a dog house. he is going to take a while, i just know it. so i'm safe for the time being. last night my mama was cleaning out the closet and found some old pictures of me when i was a baby. boy, was i tiny. i think i was more adorable than baby naomi. she was a a little funny looking when they brought her home. she was even furry like me...fuzzy all over her back and arms.

the baby is still here

it's been four and a half months. i used to be mama's baby until she got fat and out came little naomi. she cries and makes mama and daddy smile. i used to get to roam the whole house, keeping mama company when she was fat. i loved sleeping with her in the ac room. then when baby naomi came home, i was locked up in the living room. daddy doesn't take me for walks anymore and mama is too busy with the baby. daddy is always scolding me and mama is always scolding him for scolding me. mama let me lick the baby's feet a couple of times. i tried to smell and lick the little head but mama said no!
