Arrival Story: Charlene was found wandering on a busy street. Auntie J. (lover of all furry critters) was driving a bus at the time. She pulled over and loving coaxed the scruffy dog out from under a parked car. Auntie J. knew of a perfect family in need of a new pet following the death of their beloved cat, Charlie. Auntie J's nieces loved Charlene from the moment they saw her ("Scruffy" was the first name choice, but "Charlene" was chosen in memory of Charlie, and the name suited her perfectly). No one claimed the lost dog, so she was adopted by Auntie J's nieces and tenderly loved by her new family and many neighbourhood friends. Bio: What a multi-talented girl! She sure could dance; she could even talk and spell. She truly believed she was a human.
