Day One on Dogster

A new friend and neighbor!

I was wondering why I couldn't go out in the yard 2 weeks ago....Mom said it was because the old chain link fence between our neighbor's house and our house was coming down and they were putting up a new fence. This meant nothing to me....I was just angry that I couldn't go in my backyard without Mom or Dad having me on a LEASH!
What I didn't know was that the REASON the old fence was getting taken down and new fence getting put up was b/c the neighbors were getting a dog! BOL! They even had a gate put in that fence. Boy am I glad they did!
I got to meet Cinnamon last weekend...she is an 8 month old Lab mix. She's a little bigger than me now, but Mom says she'll be a lot bigger than me before too long. I don't care though, b/c ever since we first sniffed, we have been best of friends. We cry at the gate to each other if we can't play.....but most of the time now we play! We run a lot. I showed her how I dig and she showed me how to play in puddles!

This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

fireworks are cool!

Last night, Mom and Dad took me to go see fireworks! Mom was worried that I would be scared, but I thought they were really cool! It started to rain, so we had to finish watching in Dad's truck, but when I sat on Mom's lap, I could prop myself up on the dashboard and press my nose to the windshield and see REALLY GOOD! I hope we can do that again sometime.

P.S. I get to do fun stuff and the cats have to stay home! I think they'd be scared anyway.

Day One on Dogster

So, my name is Elsie and I am a Beagle mix. It is my four month birthday today! When my mom and dad took me home, I was six weeks old and weighed 4 pounds.....today I weigh 11! So I am growing up fast!
I am super excited about meeting new doggie friends and hope that my mom can get some good tips since she's never had a dog before.
