   Leave a bone for Tango

Nicknames:
Pup-Pup, Pooch, Tango-lango, Puppylooli

Quick Bio:
-purebred

Likes:
Taking naps with the parents, eating people food (especially ice cream), sunbathing, snuggling under the covers, playing fetch (ALL THE TIME), torturing his brother and barking at the mailman.

Pet-Peeves:
Doggie clothes (although we make him wear them), mean dogs, neighbors coming home when he thinks they are his parents, baths, the snow and his parents going out without him.

Favorite Toy:
Rubber green frog prince, anything that squeaks and dirty laundry.

Favorite Food:
CHEESE!!! Ice cream, cheddar cheese, plaid dog turkey tenders, provolone cheese, carrots, mozzarella cheese, spinach, Three Dog Bakery treats and did I mention cheese?

Favorite Walk:
Central Park trails, especially around the great lawn, but since moving to Boston he likes to walk downtown on Boston Common and stop in all the dog stores.

Best Tricks:
Roll over, shake, give me ten, dance around in a circle, being a sweet therapy dog

Arrival Story:
Tango joined us at 3 and a half months old from a breeder in Maine! Mom drove 6 hours each way to pick him up! We met Dad at a Petco to pick up some last minute necessities and Tango crawled right into Josh's sling (dislocated shoulder at the time)! He was tinyyyyyy, and only weighed two pounds.

Bio:
Once you meet Tango, its pretty clear that he is really a human trapped inside a little Brussels Griffon body. He has definite opinions about everything and lets you know what they are. He even talks back when you tell him to do something ("talk" is loosely defined as a variation of growling and whining). He figures things out way too quickly for our tastes- like how to get out of baby gates, or into rooms, or open cabinets, or get the toy chest open. He is definitely a character! Tango is an official therapy dog and loves to visit all the hospitals and retirement communities in Boston.

This time, I've let Murray tell you a little bit about our summer and about what we'll be doing in the coming weeks.

Check out his page, I may beat on him quite a bit, but he can be pretty smart once in a while.

Lots of licks from me to you!!!

Spring is coming!

Hurrah!!!

It looks like spring is coming. I haven't been shivering as much, and we have gone outside a few times without losing toes, so I think spring is finally on its way. My mom even pointed out a few tulips to me. Then I bit the top off of one tulip, and she didn't look as happy anymore. I'll try not to do that next time. Oops!

There is also a bird in our attic, I think. I hear him through the fan in the bathroom and I have been standing in the bathroom and barking up at him. I am not sure what he is doing and every time my dad goes up there he disappears. Murray and I are devising a plan to get him out. No birds inside, thank you very much. I prefer to chase them outside.

My folks have been discussing gggrrrrrdening lately. It sounds like it takes place outside! That always makes me happy. Hopefully all this mud will dry up before we start this gggrrrrrdening because I do not like being wiped down when we come inside. Ick.

Happy Spring everyone!

My Adventures

I have been a busy dog this winter- what with the move and visiting friends. It is tough to keep my social schedule straight. Our puppy cousin, Fletcher, came and stayed with us for a few days while his parents went to the Barkamas, or that is what it sounded like when Fletcher told me about it. We had a blast and I only had to beat him up a few times. He is a little crazy, though, and really loved the snow, so he and Murray played outside while I watched them from the window. I am counting the days until spring so that I can finally run around outside again (and yes, I can count). I hate being cold!

Murray and I also went to Miami for the weekend with the folks and stayed at a fancy hotel on the beach! We loved it! I think we should move to Florida so that I won't be cold anymore. Murray and I ran up and down the beach and even into the waves all afternoon. I sniffed so many odd smells that we don't have in Boston. I can't wait to go back. The only problem was the sand, I hate sand in my nose and eyes and ears. For all you pups out there, DO NOT EAT SAND. It makes you cough.

I also have been doing my therapy dog visits, and I am an official "Caring Canine" now. I love doing my tricks and visiting the nursing homes and hospitals, but especially the treats afterwards. Everyone is always so happy to see me and pet me! I am happy to share my licks with them too.

Murray, as usual, has been tormenting me, but at least he is entertaining while mom and dad are at work. He has been getting a little feisty, though, and keeps trying to steal my bones. Grrrrrr. Little brothers are soooooo annoying.

Stay warrrrrrrmmm all you pup pals!
