I lived with Luke and my foster mommy when I was a little pup
I lived in Mt Vernon, IN with mommy and daddy

on a walk to anywhere!!
7 THINGS ABOUT ME ARE
I *love* riding in the back of the pickup truck (strapped in, of course!)
I'm Thelli and Falstaff's "big" brother (hey, I *am* 6-months older than them!)
When mommy was pregnant with the skin pup, I about jumped out of my skin when the little bugger kicked me before he was born (I was curled up on mommy's lap)
I have chewed through the metal legs of the outdoor table
I have eaten a paving brick
I will NOT go into the water - no way, no how
I get to visit my foster mom about once every 2 months - just for an hour or two

Ok, so we won't be on the puter so much right now...
Mommy went away about a week ago, and when she came home last Tuesday, she brought this little squally thing home with her. It smells like her and it looks like a small version of her and daddy. Plus, her belly's a lot smaller now. It took me and Falstaff and Thelli a bit to figure it out, but Goldie finally explained it to us -- it's her new litter!
OH, so we have a human brother. NOW we get it! But, the downside is that this little one seems to take up lots and lots of mommy and daddy's time. So, unless grandma and grandpa are visiting, mommy doesn't make it to the puter much, and since daddy will never take dictation from us, that means that we won't be on here quite as much right now. We'll chat a lot more once we get back, ok?

Ok, I gotta admit - I wasn't so sure about this whole deal with the foster siblings. I mean, I'm all for getting more doggies at the house - no problem there! I just wasn't so sure about the just getting to know the doggie when it's time for them to get adopted and leave. I don't LIKE when doggies leave us!
First, we started with Piper. And he was, well, he was great and not great at the same time. I tried to really like him, I really did, and 90% of hte time we got along fabulously. He taught me how to lift my leg when I pee and how to jump up into the back of the truck without help. But, he ALWAYS wanted mommy's attention! It was like she was never allowed to pet me. She tried, and daddy would give us extra pets while Piper was demanding her attention, but I missed my mommy. And, well, sometimes Piper bullied me.
At first mommy and daddy didn't notice the bullying. Piper was smart and only did it when they weren't around. But, one day Piper jumped on me when daddy was right there. And, that was the last time Piper stayed with us. We actually saw Piper this weekend. He was sooo happy to see mommy - he claimed her lap and stayed in it for like 2 hours! But he got snippy with Falstaff when we pups tried to go and say hi. All he really cared about was mommy and daddy. sigh.
So, after Piper, I really wasn't sure about this whole temporary brothers and sisters idea. Mommy and daddy gave us a few weeks to get our bearings after what happened, then they brought two lady dogs to meet us. We liked BOTH of them! But, we had to pick just one. And, well, at the time, Goldie seemed a bit overwhelmed by the three of us (while Oreo seemed just dandy with all of us). So, Oreo stayed.
Oreo was only here a week, but we really liked her. Ok, Falstaff liked her the most. She was his cuddle buddy. (Mommy thinks she liked to cuddle with him so much because he looks a lot like her littermate Domino). But Oreo would go for walks with us and play with us a little. She didn't have nearly as much energy as me though. She'd play during our early morning romp (4:30 or 5 am til maybe 7), then she'd want to hang out in the crates and snooze the day away until it got dark at night.
The best part of Oreo was that she was nice. She never tried to bully us or to dominate us - she just played with us and slept and watched us play. She made me decide that maybe this wouldn't be all bad. But mommy said that I was acting like Goldilocks. Piper was more than I wanted, Oreo was less than I wanted - would I ever find a perfect foster sibling?
Well, after a week of being with us, Oreo left! But, this time, she left because she found a forever home. Yay! We were kinda sad to see her go, since we'd only just gotten to know her (Falstaff was really mopey). But we thought we'd get a few weeks of just us and mommy and daddy and that could be nice.
NOPE. The same day that Oreo left, Goldie came back! They decided to see if maybe she'd be more ok with us this time, since she'd met us before. Well, once she saw the backyard and heard that she could run around in it whenever she wanted to - she decided that the three of us were not bad at all! So Goldie stayed.
Goldie is JUST RIGHT!! At first I wondered. Her belly got upset the first night, and daddy had crated her "just in case", so she couldn't go outside and daddy didn't come when she whimpered. So we all moved ourselves outside to get away from the smell!!! Uh oh - if that's what this is gonna be like, we might not like it. But, the next day, when she was able to go outside, she did, so ok, maybe it was all daddy's fault because of the crate. maybe. (note: since then, no problems with that - yay!)
But, the first full day she was here, once she realized we just wanted to play and wouldn't hurt her if she didn't hurt us, we started to romp! She likes to run and wrestle and play and oooooh, she's JUST LIKE ME!!! I showed her my favorite places to dig in the dirt, and she found a few places I hadn't tried yet. I showed her the fun of racing and sliding under the picnic table, and she suggested that it could be fun if one went under while the other hopped on top and went over. So we took turns running and going under and running and going over for about an hour. I got pooped! So then Thelli and Falstaff played with her for a bit while I rested. Then she and I went back to running around and playing tag. oooooh, she's just perfect!! I know that some day she'll find a furever home. She's too sweet and too nice of a doggie to not find one. But in the meantime, she has definitely convinced me that foster sisters ROCK!

TAG!!
facts
Here are the rules:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary!!!
1. I love my brothers (Othello and Falstaff) and tried to mother them when they first came home. I would follow them outside to go pee and poop and lick them to make sure they were able to go.
2. I miss my brother Lukey still sometimes, and will go sniff out the places he used to hang out at to look for him.
3. I love to sit on things up high (on top of the hot tub, on top of the picnic table, etc) where I can look out.
4. I can bark continuously for 6 hours without going hoarse. Not without getting in trouble, but my voice is still fine!
5. I love my mommy. She's my favoritist person, or maybe daddy is, no mommy, or daddy... hmmm, maybe I still need to think about this one.
6. I love to roll my brothers Othello and Falstaff when we wrestle, even if they are both more than twice my size.
7. I love to go for endless walks with mommy and daddy - the longer the better! (but daddy might have to carry me home...)
I tagged: Jasper, Sissy, Austin, Smoke E Linx, Caliber, Sarge, and Shoob & Sheeb

Yesterday was about the bestest day ever! We got up and mommy let us into the kitchen. (always a good way to start the morning). First we got some chicken, then daddy said that he had a special surprise for us - he called it sunday brunch. HE might have called it sunday brunch, but WE call it BACON!! Yum! We *love* *love* *love* bacon. Then, we got to go out and play in the backyard for a bit.
Then, daddy appeared with our walking harnesses. Oooooh, a walk! Wait wait wait -- did Daddy not notice that he has two large black dogs on leashes, and that it is the hottest day since forever ago?!?! Oh, and sunnnnnnnny. And it was about noon. Sigh. But, it is a walk, so of course I want to go! Piper and Thelli decided that the option of a walk made up for getting hot, so off we all went.
Get out front, and mommy is talking to the neighbor lady - uh oh, delay in our walk. but wait, both sets of twins are out! (There are 2 sets of 14-year-old twins - one next door, one across the street - who sometimes watch us if mommy and daddy have to go away). And, the twins wanted to play! Piper hasn't gotten to meet the twins too much yet, but he quickly figured out that 4 teenagers + 4 dogs + other teenager friends = lots of petting. We really didn't mind that mommy was chatting for a bit. :)
Then we went for our walk. Where to today? Started down the block, and got to meet the basset hound that lives a block away. Mommy didn't let us play too much though - said we were too much for him. Then, across the corner from him, the boys were out - the family has 8, 9, and 10-year old boys, and a large chow mix. ooooh, lots of playmates! We got petted and got to sniff their doggie and got sniffed and all was well.
Then mommy decided that this didn't really count as getting us any exercise... So off we went. Soon we realized which walk we were on -- we were on our way to the river. yay! Our favorite place to go. We walked down, and let me tell you - it was getting darn hot by the time we got there. So we got to go get a drink. And Falstaff promptly went in up to his elbows. He likes splashing through the water. I took a discreet sip (hey - there's a lot of waves at this river - it is the Ohio after all - and, well, I'm still not the greatest water dog...). Piper decided nah- I don't think so. I'll just watch you guys at the river and sit back here. Othello, well, he went to the water to get a sip. When he put his paws in, it must have felt really good, because all you saw was him standing there, and then it was like all of the bones in his legs turned to jelly and he slowly just collapsed into the water and lay there rolling to make sure he got water all up over his back and everything (it was about 8-10 inches deep where he was at, so not deep enough to cover his back). Mommy swore that steam was coming up off his back!
So Falstaff romped in the water and Othello just chilled and settled down for a bit. Piper and I thought that the little pups were losing it. But mommy said that they were to be allowed to play in the water if they wanted to. But after a bit, it was time to go sit on the benches looking out over the river. Where there was a nice breeze and a mommy to cuddle with. So, not too bad. After a bit, we went for a walk back home.
OOOOH, the best part - on the walk back home, we met some nice people who were petting all of us (they didn't even mind that Falstaff and Thelli were wet!). And, the one lady was very interested when she heard that Piper was up for adoption. She liked him, and he liked her, and she's going to contact the rescue group to see if she meets their criteria for adopting him! Keep your fingers crossed. :)

Yay!! Mommy says I'm a BIG boy today - I'm ONE! Daddy mentioned something about mommy trying to make me some special treats to celebrate, I can't wait!
Last night, we had a terrible thunderstorm, so I had to be the big boy who calmed down the younger pups. Of course, mommy doesn't need to know that I was cuddling the pups as much for myself as for their sake, right?

Guys, you have to help me. Mommy won't listen, and I've been warning her all day. THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!! It's covering the backyard, and it's kinda cold when you lay down in it and roll in it. Then you end up all wet. I guess it was gonna rain later this week. But now the sky is falling and I think we need to put it back up there, but mommy won't help me. She keeps saying it's ok, but somehow she doesn't seem to see the sky laying all over the yard...

Ok, so I'm a bit late in posting for the new year, but we've been having a lot of fun lately.
We went to Grandma and Grandpa's for Thanksgiving, and then we got to stay with the vet while mommy and daddy went to the other grandma's and grandpa's for an early christmas, and then we got to go with them for another trip to Grandma and Grandpa's for christmas. it was FUN!!!!!
Sassy Blossom and jasper were there both times, and the second time our cousin Maggie was there too (she's the same age as Sassy Blossom and has the same daddy, but her mommy must have been a lot bigger than Sassy's mommy. Maggie is as big as Othello (for now), but she liked me. The other dogs were teasing us for playing kissy face the whole time, but she's kinda sweet. Besides, she *is* an older woman! :D
Since we've been back, we've mostly be enjoying having our backyard back and having warm weather. Mommy keeps saying to enjoy it while it lasts, because winter is bound to show up at some point, but we're not sure what winter is, so hey - maybe we'll enjoy that as well!
We did get into some trouble today. I swear that Othello or Falstaff is responsible, but they say that I'm to blame (per usual). Why shouldn't we have chewed on the nifty wires we found tucked behind a pipe and going into the house? We sere just trying to protect mommy and daddy from whatever it was that was trying to sneak into their basement through that wire!!! How were we to know that it was something called the "Cable" and the "internet" (which mommy says they WANT to allow into their house, hrmph). Mommy had just had the repairman out to the house on Thursday to check on where we'd chewed through the wires, and today daddy noticed that we'd pulled about 10 feet of the wire out of the opening into the basement and chewed through the replacement wires. I SWEAR that we were just trying to help!
Well, now that daddy did a temp fix of the wires, I'm being told that I'm not to hog the internet since mommy didn't have access to it all day thanks to us. Geez, I thought they wanted guard dogs? But, mommy did sneak us a treat, and daddy snuck us into the basement while mommy wasn't around for some play time, so I think we'll get forgiven for this one as well. :)
Until Later,
Bo

Wow - it sure has been a busy month, trying to teach my new brothers all about what to do here and helping daddy around the house, and getting ready to go to Granny's and Papaw's for Thanksgiving and and ... Sorry I haven't written! We just got back from visiting with everyone for the holidays, and it was sooooo fun. I got to meet my cousin Jasper for the first time, and we were the "big" dogs of the quintet, so we wrestled with each other a lot. Sassy ended up playing more with the little tykes than with me and Jasper. But that's ok - I still had someone to play with. And, all the people kept petting us and giving us attention and it was GREAT!
The only part that wasn't great was the drive. We left home in the morning and went to where mommy works to show us off to some of Mommy's co-workers. They oohed and aahed over me and Falstaff and Othello. (Baby and Xander were spending the holidays at home rather than cramming 5 animals into the backseat of a compact car.) But, when we got there, daddy noticed that something had happened. The three of us swear that we had nothing to do with it, but Daddy didn't believe us. Something had chewed the whole way through the seatbelt in two places, and Daddy was convinced it was US! Oh, the indignity - being blamed for something we couldn't, wouldn't, and knew we shouldn't ever do!
So, to make sure we didn't do it again, there was a detour to Petsmart on the way out of town. At first, I was all excited -- oooooh, the fun store. But, then, daddy started putting these awful mesh things on our noses - he called them muzzles. They were horrible!! And, he left them on us to take us out to the car! What??? Mommy stayed in line for a bit, and when she came out to the car we started driving, with the life-sucking evil contraptions still firmly affixed to our snouts. Momma said that she was sorry, but that if we didn't want to wear them, that we needed to elarn not to chew. But we hadn't! It was the invisible dog that lives with us and does all the bad things that had done it!!
The drive seemed to take forever! It was at LEAST an hour before Daddy stopped the car and let us out and took the horrid things off. Then we were given water and a short walk, and mommy bought them some lunch. Ok, not so bad, until daddy puts us back in the car and puts the horrid things back on us - oh no, we're not done yet!!! Daddy commented at one point that it was the longest 400 miles he had ever driven. Yeah, well he didn't have to ride the whole time! We only got like 6 stops to get out and get the things off. sigh. Othello and Falstaff sometimes were allowed to take theirs off while we were in the car - I don't know *why* they could possibly think that I was responsible for chewing something... Along the way, Othello figured out how to roll down the windows. It took some effort, since mommy refuses to get power windows, but he figured it out, and rolled it down about 3-4 inches before daddy would put it back up (happened a few times). We also master the art of stretching our travel harnesses and straps as far as possible so that we could stretch out and flop places that mommy and daddy thought were impossible. Oh, yeah, and one of us (we shall not name names) even figured out how to undo the seatbelts so that our harnesses weren't attached to the seat anymore -- then we were able to move a LOT further!!
Uh oh - the other animals want their chance on the computer. Hopefully I'll get back on before another month has passed. For now, woofs and tail wags,
Bo
