A Dog's Life

Phew! What a couple of days we've had!

I got an inckling that something odd was going on when Jo loaded a big suitcase into the car. I am smart enough to know that big suitcase = long car journey. Sure enough I was right. We have done a gruelling 400 miles in the last two days travelling almost the length of the country. Last night we stayed in a very unusual place. Jo took us for a wonderful walk across fields and we chased lots of rabbits. That was great fun. But then she left me and Hamish in a kennel overnight which wasn't so much fun. Hamish was shaking he wanted to get out so badly, and the other dogs wouldn't shut up! Jo kept coming back to check on us - I could tell she was concerned. Finally she came back for us early this morning and took us for another long walk. Then we were bundled into the car again and drove for 3 hours on the motorway. Boring!! Finally we arrived at the parents' house! It was great to see them! What an adventure! I'm exhaused! So is Hamish!!!

Jo feels terrible today - she looks terrible too. She keeps sneezing and her nose is bright red.

In two weeks time we are going to spend the night in Bracken Bank Lodge in the Lake District. A 700 acre lodge with big special kennels all for us. How exciting!
