Arrival Story:
Three years ago on my 16th birthday, my 10 year old Dalmatian, Jasper was hit by a car. My Father and I was torn. I didn't want another dog, expecially another Dal. But, he kept nagging me and nagging me until I was online everyday trying to find us a new companion. I had some specific guidelines I wanted for a new dog. I wanted a male and I wanted him AKC registered so I could maybe show him or breed him later. I was working at a kennel at the time, so I was able to get him into some shows thanks to that. I finally found one online at a Petland in Charleston, WV. As soon as I found him, Da called and we made the 70 mile trip up there to get him. And as soon as I held him, we became instant pals.

Aside from his eager hyperness, Jake is an ideal partner. I take him everywhere, from trips out of state to horseback riding in the mountains. I had him pacing with my 7 year old Mustang gelding when he was 3 months old. I'm in college 300 miles away from home and he hates it when I leave. He sulks around and whimpers when I haul my bags to my car. It makes me sad.

Forums Motto:
Jake- I cannot erase my spots.
