Arrival Story: Carm's mom works near the Ottawa Humane Society, one day parking her car she was introduced to another dog, named Charlie. She immediately bonded with Charley and had to go visit him at lunch time. Then the next day was Saturday so both she and I went to visit Charlie and see about taking him home. While waiting for a contact room she spotted this new dog and asked to see him as well. Unfortunately the new dog was already going through the adoption process with another group of people.
After visiting Charlie and going through the emotional process of deciding that he was not the dog for us we were attempting to leave. Carmel's mom was rather upset with leading Charlie on and just wanted to get out of there. One of the workers, who knew she was interested in the other dog, stopped her and asked her to wait a while before leaving because there was a problem with the potential adoptors of the new dog she had asked to see! We waited and waited, for what seemed like for ever. Finally the process was complete and the dog was free to interview new prospective parents.
Instantly we knew, this was the dog we were looking for. We both really hope that Charlie found a good home and we are grateful that he found a good home for Carmel. Bio: I have decided to greet other dogs with a little too much enthusiasm this summer. As a result me and my owners are working with a therapist who will be able to help us so that I am able to get back to the park and play with my friends. I just hope that I still have friends at the park though and that I haven't scared them all too much!
