Success!

I'm now recovering nicely from a major operation that was finished some 10 minutes ago. They found the beginnings of internal bleeding. They took out my ovaries as it was already infected. Thank God for my wonderful and very observant doctor and it was caught in time! Tomorrow, I'm going home. Yipee!

My Fight for Life

After a routine blood test and check up last Sunday, My doc suspects that I have pyometra (my mom died of this infection and my twin sister had this but thankfully, it was caught in time and surgery was a success). For the first time in my whole life, I spent the night away from my home and family. I am now confined to the vet's clinic for more tests to confirm the diagnosis and have my operation this afternoon as we can't afford to wait. Major concern is my age, I'm no spring chicken(....mmmm...chicken!). Hopefully, the operation will be a success and I come out a fitter and healthier pup with a new lease on life. wish me luck!
