Gumbo LOVED my daddy more than anyone else, and when she was a puppy, she would run around the garage as fast as she could before her meal was ready.

Gumbo sat, but that's about it. She was especially good at hanging out and taking naps.
Arrival Story:
When I was three, my dad decided that he wanted a hunting dog. He found Gumbo and her sister, File (fee-lay...it's a Louisiana thing), and chose Gumbo. He brought her home and started her training, but when his dad became ill, he couldn't finish training her so Gumbo became my best friend for years.
Bio:
Gumbo loved to dig in my mom's flower beds, and she had a fondness for sneaking off to run in muddy ditches. Even now, I have never had another dog that I could tell everything to and it would understand like Gumbo would. Gumbo was my best friend, as there weren't many children in my neighborhood that were my age, and I was also a bit of a loner. I rathered playing with Gumbo over other kids anyway. Gumbo had to be euthanized in January of 1996, and one day I will meet her again, along with all of my other pets, at the Rainbow Bridge.
