Wow, it has been awhile hasn't it? I've just been so busy with the holidays. However, my birthday is a holiday too-at least my human mom would say so! My human sister, Kyra turns 12 this Thursday, so I could be easily forgotten. My prezzie list is quite short. I would like a new stuffed animal to rip up, a nice long car ride, trip to Petco to strut my stuff and a quick walk at the park. There is nothing like taking care of business in the park-so much better than the yard. And mom loves cleaning it up, because she always tells me how proud she is of me after I do! The stuffed animal request is new for me. I've never really been in to them, but after I got a hold of one of Kyra's, I realized a whole new world of ripping and tearing! And stuff flies everywhere-it's brilliant!!! I'm also hoping for some turkey burger or maybe even a little steak! My mom feeds me a lot of human food and she's getting in trouble from dad and the vet. I'm pretty bummed about less human food, but I'm not getting any younger!!! Anyhow, Happy B-day to all the other cool dogs out there, and remember you're never too old to chase a cat!!!!

Okay, so I'm not gonna lie, I'm a terribly spoiled bulldog. My food is heated up, I get ice cubes in my water, I am bathed regularly, and allowed free reign of the house, or so I USED to be.
About a month or so ago, my humans bought a new couch. They went on and on and on about how comfortable this couch was, how much nicer it was compared to the old couch, blah, blah, blah. Of course, I wanted to test it out for myself and jumped up. Well, all of a sudden I hear "Ruby, NO! Get DOWN!" Excuse me?! What did you say? NO!??? So, I got down, because I'm a good girl, but I was not happy, believe me. Then dad says, "Ruby is not allowed up on the couch ever!" And mom says, "EVER?! Not even with a blanket?" "EVER!" He insists. This is so not cool, and totally surprising to me, and apparently to mom as well! So, I was banned from the new, comfy couch for quite sometime, until one day when my humans brought in a big heavy box-what could it be? A giant bone? My own couch perhaps? Come to find out, it was a giant flat t.v. called a plasma. There was a lot of deep discussion and tense conversations between mom and dad during the installation of the plasma onto the wall, but once it was finished, something happened to dad!!!! He sprawled out on the couch, put down the blanket and said, "Ruby, come on up!" No need to tell me twice, up I went! Next to dad, in all my glory, my rightful place really. Mom came out of the kitchen suprised, asking why the change of heart and dad said he was so happy about his plasma t.v. that he was feeling generous! Now, I'm invited back on the couch (blanket down of course) on a regular basis, so things are getting back to normal. So, my fellow furry friends, if you ever run into a new furniture situation, as I did, just put your paws together and pray a big t.v. is on the way too!!!!

Wow,
I'm so happy my friend Otis told me about this site, I had no idea! Actually, I've never had the chance to meet Otis in person, but I feel like I know him, from our little chats here and there. I'm not big on going out and doing too much, I could never keep up with him.
Anyhow, I lead the standard life of luxury of any dog that is loved beyond belief. My dad is the coolest, my favorite thing to do is follow him into the bathroom every morning and hang out while he gets ready for work-I think it freaks him, because he sometimes kicks me out. My mom spoils me BAD-and she takes a fair share of crap for it, but it doesn't seem to bother her. I have a human sister too, named Kyra. She's 11 and I love to sleep with her-she lets me hog the bed. Anyhow, I can't wait to meet more Dogster friends and keep you all posted on the latest happenings at home! My mom is going to add more pictures soon, as the one on my home page is not my best. I'm not egotistical, but I am really, really adorable.
