Running Free at Last

The other night I went on a late walk with my sister Cadence (who never walks with a leash) on a 15 minute walk. My owner must have trusted me a whole bunch because when I was not paying attention he unhooked me from my leash.

I was running free as can be. My sister kept me in line though. Not to run to far ahead or wonder off. She knows the route really well so she showed me the way.

We ran back and forth around and around. I don't think I ever ran that fast before. My owner (Chris) just walked his normal direction and I followed. I think I did good.

Hopefully tonight I will get another chance at it. I think I will. Oh and I need my hair brushed. It's getting kinda knotty.

Love to run

My owner now takes me on runs everyday. I love it. I sleep good at night and I get all the exercise I need.

Haircut

I don't know if I want to put up a photo or not of my new haircut. It is summer now and I needed it cut. My owner thought it would be cheaper if she cut it. It was. But all the other dogs laugh at me. Whatever. I just run around just as crazy.

Pizza

Lastnight when nobody was looking I grabbed a few slices for me and my buddies. we ate them real fast to make sure our owners couldn't get them back.

Chicken Tonight

The other night I decided to eat chicken bones that were in the trash can. There was only a little meat on them but I decided to eat the whole thing. Bone and all. I don't think it's going to come out as easy as it went in.

Rainy Day

It's raining all day today. I can't go outside as much because I track in all the mud from outback and I can't go out front because I will drink all the rain water in the gutter. So I have decided to nap in the computer room all day.

Sleep!

The past week I have decided to sleep in. I use to get up at 2am and want to play and go outside. But now I am a bum and I sleep in until about 9. So things are going well.

Getting Older kinda

I have been learning to calm down as I get older. I don't jump as much and I am still learning new tricks. I know sit, paw, laydown, and stay. I shoulda had this all down months ago. But I decided now was a better time.

I still bark and bark though. Love barking.

Getting Better

Merlin has almost learned not to jump. He jst wiggles his little bum a lot now. There is nothing to be said about the barking though. He just loves to bark. Bark in the morning and bark at night. He is quick to be silent soon as he gets a treat inside of his kong.
We are learning better leash training on our daily walks. He is more of a runner though.

Mud

This weekend I went to the baseball field. It looked like there was no sign of mud to be found. But sure enough I found it. Then I rolled in it and stuck my nose in it. And it was the mud that smelled like the swamp. So I smelled extra good for my owners. :)
