Adopting is a great way to save an animal's life. If you buy from a breeder because you want a dog with good looks, think again. Think of how selfish you are being, a majority of the dogs at the pound will have even greater looks under the coat of worn fur. They will be loving and accepting of you because you gave them a safe loving home they can run around in and they are able to be fed a proper amount of food. Some of the ugliest pets known to man have had the warmest hearts of any other animal. It's because they were adopted and knew they were loved and all they wanted was a safe environment to live in. Adopt now, save a dog's life, or a cat's!
When Little Sally finished opening all but 1 of her many beautifully wrapped presents, she hopped up and raced over to her last package that was in a odd shape and seemed to have movement inside. She tore off the little wrapping paper there was. Excitment pulsating through her entire body until...
"EW, LOOK AT THAT CREATURE" she stared at this little small puppy as if it was the most disgusting sight she had ever seen before. The small puppy wiggled his little black curly tail as he placed his 2 front paws on the front of the kennel. He barked little puppy barks. She backed away from the kennel quickly "GET AWAY FROM ME!" She spat towards the puppy, the blob landing right in his eye. "AROO!" he whimpered, tumbling backwards placing a paw over his little pink snout. As she saw what she had done she stared in pure guilt at him. She blushed looking at her friends gathered around her. She immediatley opened the door to the kennel, picking him up and cradling him in her arms. "I'm so sorry" she cooed to him. Her father later told her they had adopted him. He had been brought him in because he was the runt of the litter. She then realized that no matter how ugly on the outside, they still have a heart as golden as a pot of gold that is at the end of a rainbow.
Adopting is something I very much do encourage! My parents being not so caring for adopting from a pound got Rusty and Kacy from a breeder, but my cat is from a pound! God Bless All Dogs and Cats who are yet to be adopted.
