Arrival Story:
Well, my family's house had been broken into a lot, and they thought that they needed a dog to warn them. I had just been born in a house down the road, so they came by one day and their little girl, my momma, picked me out right away! She says it's because of my unique coloring, how I'm built just like my mom, a Lab, but I've got the black and tan markings of my dad, a Rott. NONE of my brothers or sisters look like me, which is awesome, cause no one mixed me up with anyone else! They came back and picked me up a couple of weeks later, when I was old enough, and named me on the way home. They decided to name me Bama because my mom's mom is from Alabama and likes to stay connected. I went home with them and found that I had a brand new big sister! A Cocker named Lou. She was great! She always liked to play with me, even though she was a few years older. Then, after we moved, she died. I was really sad. She's buried right next to my pen outside. But it's okay now, because later that year, my mom's parents bought her a new Cocker. This one was a little mean when we played, but we're all good now. We both like to sit together under the trampoline in the shade while our family is outside doing yard work.

They used to call me Houdini. That's because when I was a puppy, I used to crawl over the fence connecting my little yard with the big one, then out through the big gaps in the gate. They'd wake up the next morning and find me snoozing on the front porch. They always said it was a wonder I never got ran over. Then, when we moved, they built a big pen for me to stay in outside, but I never really liked it. I wanted to ROAM!! So I would chew through the wire and wood blocking the gate and crawl or dig out. That's how come most of my back teeth have fallen out, and why my front ones are all ground down to the gums. Which is why I can't eat dry dog food anymore, unless it's been soaked in liquid and all soft and chewy. Also why they ended up having to electricute my fence! But I understand. Lou was killed my a car when she went out onto the road, and the "new" dog, Chrissy, likes to go across the street, and they don't want me getting out and maybe getting hurt. Sadly, on December 22, 2007 while my family was out at dinner, I went to sleep and never woke up. I'm really sad to leave my family and I'll miss them very much, because they were really good to me, but now I'm up in Heaven with my first best friend, Lou.
