Arrival Story:
After moving into our new home, complete with backyard, we decided to adopt another dog. We already had one little cocker spaniel (Willie), but we wanted a big dog. We decided on a Lab and found out about the Lab Rescue program. After doing some homework, we drove up north with Willie to meet her. At nine months old, she was very thin and very shy. She had been raised on a puppy farm and then abandoned. She didn't know that people were good. But, she did seem to like Ben. Willie didn't seem to mind her either. So, we decided to pick her up in a few days. When we got her home, she didn't want to go inside, she didn't know what a house was. But, we convinced her. She was very nervous for the first month or two, but now she has lots of human and doggie friends.

Bio:
Abbie loves to look out the window and bark at the cats and the neighbors. She also loves playing, belly scratches and sleeping on the big bed. She enjoyes going camping and playing in the water with her brother Buck. She doesn't play with Willie because he is grumpy.
