Arrival Story:
Poppy was the fifth (2nd generation puggle) pup to be born to my older puggle's (Bosley) sister (Harley). She was the runt of the litter. I was there for her birth, and for whatever reason attached to her immediately. I named her "Poppy" for my mother's favorite flower. At 4 weeks of age, we were very worried as she was not eating or playing well, nor gaining weight. Upon taking her to the vet we were told she'd have to have rhinoplasty (nose surgery) at 6 wks of age to open up her nares. Luckily, we decided to wait, and she has outgrown this without surgery and is breathing and striving! Her name best describes her personality and demeanor...she just "pops" around the house and is so happy to be home.
