Arrival Story:
His previous owners could no longer care for him, when we saw him advertised on Trade Me we could resist meeting him. We both loved his spots, he looked different to other Dalmatians we had seen. After a couple of minutes with him we were convienced he was for us and we took him home that day.
Bio:
Otis has a real character, he is playful, loving and very loyal. Eventhough he's deaf he acts like a normal hearing dog and learns commands really well. He loves being the baby of our home and is very spoilt.
He loves chasing shadows and lights, they can keep him entertained for hours. He has the funniest habit of needing a blanket over his head when he sleeps. Many mornings he has his butt out of the covers and his head covered completely.
I would love for him to meet other Dalmatians in the area for him to play with.

The other day my mummy and daddy came home and there was bloody all over my bed. They were both very worried for me and searched me all over to see where the blood came from but they couldn't see any cuts on me. My mummy got really worried about me, she thought i might have internal problems. For a whole day she followed me around checking my urine and poos, but couldn't find any blood.
Mummy also noticed i wasn't acting like my happy self. Today she brought me a pigs hock as a treat, i was so excited and played with it for a while. After a while of fun i took it outside and burried it. Mummy watched me as i did this and noticed that i use my nose to bury my treats. When i came back inside my nose was cut and bleeding again.
Mum has spent time on the internet today trying to figure out how to help me. She's really worried about me. I know its painful but i still do it.

We adopted our little boy on Wednesday 28th June 2006, since then he has become part of the family. My Husband and I have bcome very attached to him and he to us.
He has such a special character, i'm sure he thinks of himself as a person rather than a dog. He is loving, loyal and so caring. Everyday he shows me how to love unconditionally and has a way of making any bad day become great. He reminds me of what life is really about and has brought my Husband and I closer than we were.
I now look back at our lives before our little boy came along and i don't know how we survived without him.
Because of this i would go to the ends of the earth for him. Although he is deaf i talk to him everyday and a day doesn't go by where i tell him how much i love him and how thankful i am to have him in our lives.
