Arrival Story:
I found Deni on the cattledog.com website. He was being fostered by Mid Florida ACD Rescue. I flew to Orlando and brought him back. When we reached Providence, Deni decided he would be the airport's official greeter.

Bio:
Deni was very calm and laid back. (Very much unlike your typical cattle dog!). He would just as soon snuggle on the couch with people as do anything else. He loved adults, kids and other dogs. He could be so proud and dignified one minute, then the next he might be on his back with a totally goofy expression on his face, asking for a tummy rub. Deni was always a perfect gentleman (in spite of his goofiness). There was no such thing as a stranger to him, just new friends he hadn't met yet. Even people who don't care much for dogs liked Deni. Deni lost his brief battle with cancer the evening of September 19, 2009. He bravely walked into the emergency vet's office under his own steam, even though he was struggling for each breath. Thankfully, they let me stay with him until the end. Years ago, another vet took my dog "in the back room" and wouldn't let me stay. The look on that poor dog's face has never left me and I've never forgiven that vet... or myself. That big, lovable goof has left a huge, empty space in my heart that's going to be difficult to fill. That lanky pup found wandering the streets of Ocala, Florida grew into quite the charmer. Godspeed, Deni. If you see Digger, please don't take his toys away.
