Quick Bio:
-purebred

Birthday:
November 26th 1997

Likes:
Playing "hide and seek", squeaky toys -- the louder the better, and if he gets the squeaker out, he'll walk around with it in his mouth chewing and squeaking as if it's chewing tobacco!

Pet-Peeves:
Moving skateboards, scooters, roller blades! Oh and computers, which means he doesn't get any attention.

Favorite Toy:
All his toys are his favorites and he carries one on every walk!

Favorite Food:
Fishskins (www.sitstay.com) without a doubt

Favorite Walk:
Along the lakefront near the tennis courts to scout for loose tennis balls, but ending up at a park bench where mom can sit and he can stretch out and relax!

Best Tricks:
Touch my foot; high five; 'go get your _____ '(anything you ask for)

Arrival Story:
After my previous miniature poodle, Charlie Brown, had to be put down (14+ years old), I waited 5 years and then finding another poodle was my mission. I wanted a black, male, large mini, and voila, Jake came into my life -- or perhaps I should say I came into his, which was the luckiest day of HIS life for sure. Very smart, eager to please (me), and probably bonded too strongly to me -- is there such a thing? When he was a little over 13 months, an off leash doberman (huge) decided to attack Jake from the back. Although the physical damage (3 bites) healed, the emotional damage was great -- but, can you blame him? He is great with babies, children and all people; some fear aggression with some dogs -- ok with others, and we have never been able to totally get over it. We don't do dog beaches/dog parks unless we are the only ones there, or I know the dog grup, but he does have other dog friends he plays with and a neighbor's cat that fascinates him, but I just can't impress enough on people who have their dogs off-leash that even though their dog is friendly, etc., not every other offleash dog is and you just don't know what traumas they have had in their lives.

Bio:
Jake's "dad" was a champion stud from England, and his "mom" was just a regular gal from Hammond, Indiana. The breeder was closing shop after this last litter, and that's where I got Jake.
