Arrival Story:
Babi was in the slammer, picked up by our County Animal Control as "running at large". She had just been brought in when I happened to see her, totally terrified. There sat a bone thin doggy in the back of the cage. She had sheets of saliva hanging from both sides of her muzzle. She also had Sharpei features I recognized from our other rescue Sharpei mix girl, Ella. The difference was Babi had the little folded forward Sharpei ears. There was something about her that drew me to her. I could not forget her and began the process of getting her out. Somehow I knew she would never bite me. She never has, even when I would visit her and have to lift her out of the cage.

Bio:
Animal Control Officers knew who owned Babi. When I expressed and interest in her, they were able to obtain the owners release signature. I can't image how Babi had been treated. She sure did have to scrap on the streets to get by. She is our delightful girl now.
