Birthday: April 4th 2006 Likes: Eating. He also really likes getting his front legs scratched by me or my husband. It's kind of weird. Most dogs hate having their legs and feet touched. This guy will keep pawing at me until I rub them. Pet-Peeves: Not eating. Favorite Toy: Anything that the other dogs haven't stolen from him. Or anything that he steals from the other dogs. Favorite Food: ANYTHING. Except for bitter tasting medicine. Well, I'd have to say big meaty beef bones. Favorite Walk: Used to be the dog park. Now, it's any LARGE expanse of field topped with a ton of snow when we go offroading so he can just run run run and pull pull pull a sled! Best Tricks: Somehow he manages to nudge me over ever so slowly and take over my spot on the bed. Arrival Story: I wanted to find another siberian to keep Kvasik company since he was such a WONDERFUL laid back dog. I thought that Ilia would be laid back; totally wrong. This dog is so high strung. But he's really sweet and loving, so I can't help but love him. He's actually calmed down a lot in the last couple months compared to when I first got him. But I guess it's because he's almost a big boy now! Bio: From the breeder Nanook Siberian Huskies in Athabasca, Alberta. You can really see the great breeding lines in him: he's got beautiful eyes, his ears are a nice size and shape and placed well on the head, along with the muzzle shape: very husky. He looks quite different than Kvasik because he's pure Husky and I suspect that in the musher side of Kvasik, the Kvasik has a little Shepherd him him because his skull is flatter and ears are bigger. I was taking to an eye specialist for dogs today...I was wondering why I sometimes bumped into stuff. Apparently I have cataracts in both eyes :( And I'm only 1.5 years old :( :( My right eye lens has collapsed, but I can still see, just out of focus. My left eye is a little cloudy. The doctor said I'll still live a normal life, but mommy is very sad. Apparently it's genetic so mommy or daddy or both are carriers. *sigh*
