Arrival Story:
Max and his sister Zoe were bought from a puppy farm by a couple who had 2 other dogs. They were all chained up in their backyard, with little food or water for the first 7 months of their lives (including a long, hot, Washington DC summer). The ASCPA of Fairfax County, VA, resuced them and put them up for adoption. 22 applications were put in on them as a pair, and another 20 or so each for individual adoption. It came down to us and another couple, and after a home visit, we were given the biggest gifts of our lives: These two precious pups.

Bio:
Zoe came to us very serious, very wounded, and trusting no one. Still, of the two, she is the alpha, and has been known to drop Max and roll him one more than one occasion (and he just loves it!) Shes a very loving dog, and once you gain her trust, she wont leave your side for a second. Watching her open up to us, learn how to play and give us her love has been so wonderful.
